On immigration and on his taxes it is beginning to sound like Trump will just challenge the courts to rule as they want and he will do whatever he wants and they will not be able to do anything about it. Maybe I am wrong in thinking this is his plan, but the more I hear and read, the more it seems this is his plan. It is either that or do as he did with the plan to keep Muslim's from entering the country and just keep adjusting his plans until either the courts can't keep up with the changes or until he finds a plan that they have trouble overturning. Either way he seems to be saying to hell with the courts and I will do as I want and the courts can not stop me.

The NINTH CIRCUS is not "the courts"; it is a LEFTIST CLOWN SHOW, which has IGNORED THE LAW, again.

Trump will rely on what the SCOTUS decides.

This is Trump you're asking about. Anything is possible. In a nutshell, he will do whatever Stephen Miller orders him to do.

He's our first imperial president. He ignores every other branch of government like any dictator would do. Don and his family run the country, no help needed.

Putting the power of our government in the hands of the people. One of the greatest features that separates us from so many other countries is our strong independent congress. This advantage is lost on conservatives who gravitate towards 'strong' tyrannical leaders who know how to stoke the racism and hatred of their followers...

What gives you the idea that Trump will say to hell with the courts?

Has he disobeyed any court?

Since the courts have stolen so much power they were never given then I think it doesn’t matter. He should simply ignore them.

My only hope is that before a full on dictatorship is necessary the democrats come to the table to help reset the systems legitimacy, but if it comes to a dictatorship of an elected president versus socialists in black robes I tell you who I back.

Too many judges now see their role as being a super legislature, that must for the good of our society come to an end

And if he disagrees with SCOTUS? Will you say they are a leftist clown show who are ignoring the law?

You misspelled “pen and phone” Obama.

Trump has not disobeyed any laws passed by Congress, he has the full power to enact immigration bans and declare emergencies. Congress has not passed laws to end or restrict that.

Also the Trump campaign did not stoke racism or hatred, that is simply a lie

Depends on how they rule.

SCOTUS due to Trumps very fortunate election got Scalia and Kennedy replaced with the right people

I assume Don can count on you taking up arms when he declares it's time for an insurrection to make him your dear leader for life?

I don't know but let me guess without knowing which court did this... one guess only... 9th circuit...amirite?

Its not the courts job to stop Trump.

Pretty sure you have that backwards. How they rule determines what the law is.

It's the courts job to uphold the law. If Trump wants to violate the law, then it absolutely is the courts job to stop Trump from doing so.

Such a thing would be terrible.

It may be unavoidable however, the democrats openly promote violence to achieve their ends, don’t bake gays a cake? Run to the gun, misgender a tranny, run to the gun, don’t like taxes? Run to the gun.

Eventually conservatives will be the victims of Jacobin style purges or a “reign of terror” like in the French Revolution unless this cycle is halted. I want it to halt with our constitution intact, are you with me? I hope so but I declare right now I will not go passively to the Guillitione

I think Trump will aggressively push court proceedings to the max possible. But no I don't think he'll "do whatever he wants" anymore than Obama did.

fact sheet, the Department of Homeland Security cited the “contiguous territories” provision in the Immigration and Nationality Act as grounds for enacting the policy. The provision allows the U.S. — in limited circumstances — to send people seeking entry into the country back to a “contiguous territory” while their cases are processed in immigration courts. By that definition, the options appear to be Canada or Mexico.

The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) contains a little-known provision that permits the physical return of individuals who enter from “contiguous territories” (i.e., Mexico or Canada) pending their removal proceedings before a United States immigration judge. The statute, interestingly, only applies to those who enter from those countries and there is no requirement that the person actually be a citizen or national of either Mexico or Canada. Furthermore, the provision is embedded within the “expedited removal” section, INA § 235, 8 USC § 1225, but importantly the person subjected to the contiguous territories provision is not “deported” immediately but made to wait outside the U.S. during his judicial removal proceedings

The LAW supports Trump's policies. The NINTH CIRCUS =/= "the law". Not by a long shot.

This is old law. (1965) It was amended by the Refugee Act of 1980.

sigh...

It is not the court's job to "uphold the law". That is the President's job.

It is the court's job to rule on disputes based on the law.

its the courts job to determine if the law is being violated.

People love to say that about the 9th but it isn’t any more leftist in reality that any other circuit.

What law have they ignored?

This is why Comey stated to congress that trump will never leave office peacefully...

Wow, I've been predicting this for months, but had no idea someone as high up and knowledgeable as Comey had actually said so, out loud in public.

I don't understand why this gets so little news coverage. The only reason I can come up with is that so many think that it's unthinkable. But after two years of watching Don doing the unthinkable, isn't it time we start thinking about it?
