Will Mitch vote to convict?

Will Mitch vote to convict?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
Why would he vote to convict after he has voted the process to be unconstitutional?
Because regardless of his belief he was overruled so now must (as his oath requires him to) he must rule on tbe facts presented.
Unfortunately Republicans have proven that oaths have no meaning to them...

Mitch and most Republican Senators are spineless liars.

Bill Clinton and some Democrats are also spineless liars..

Trump, Clinton, and many US Senators will not be respected by Historians

Will Mitch vote to convict?
Simple yes or no
No Other option for some to hide behind

Of course not. This is the definition of a lack of manhood:

- McConnell went on historical record and declared that Trump did provoke Trump Nation's attack on January 6.

- McConnell then declared that the impeachment should wait two weeks, which would be after Trump has left Office.

- McConnell then voted against the impeachment trial in the Senate, hiding under the right-wing shield that Trump is a private citizen now.

So, McConnell had played a game where he is trying to fool historians, trying to please the very trash that threatened his fellow Senators and a VP, and gets to be a champion for his treacherous partisan stupidity. There is no integrity or honor in McConnell.

Historians do not "respect" or "disrespect." They merely use the known evidence to narrate truth. This is why history "changes" as new evidence is discovered along the way.

It's the feeble minded and foolish partisan who allows truth to disrespect him/her. Reference 74 million conservatives who wanted more of what Trump is. Because they attached their souls to this traitorous piece of shit, they have felt insulted by truth since 2016.

next question.

Exactly. That's the game he played. He went from declaring Trump responsible, to pushing the Senate impeachment vote to after Trump left Office, and now say's that it is too late. There is no manhood in Mitch McConnell.

Not if you have already gone on record that the process itself is unconstitutional.

It must be very hard searching so hard for a hero on the Right anymore.

His Party said that it was not unconstitutional, after McConnell went on record about Trump's guilt, before he pushed the trial to after Trump had left Office, in which he now uses as an excuse to play a game that it is unconstitutional.

These are your so-called leaders Fletch. And they behave this way because you and the rest encourage them to play games on your emotional behalf.

I dont need heroes and if I did I certainly wouldnt look for them among the political class.

I don't see what possible upside voting to convict Trump could have for McConnell.

I believe Trump is about to become a non-entity politically, but right at this moment he has the attention of the noisiest part of the GOP base. Until Trump demonstrates just how impotent he is now, the smart money will tip-toe around him.

A truly amoral political artist like Mitch will benefit by making it clear they are holding their nose now, so that when Trump finishes ****ing himself and the base is finally done with him, they will know that ol'Mitch saw it coming.

I'd say probably not, not a firm no, but no nonetheless. There's plenty of senators still loyal to Trump that if Mitch votes guilty, they'd take away his minority leadership position. It'll be a vote of self preservation just like 95 other or so senators will vote guilty or not guilty for their job security. Self preservation always rules in situations like this. McConnell is no different than around 95 other senators voting for their jobs.

This is what makes Romney, Murkowski and a couple of others stand way above the rest of the heap. They aren't letting self preservation rule.

Except of course its entirely constitutional and the defence is total logical and legal bullshit.
And it was clearly laid out by the prosecution why that is.

I think he very well might. It is clear he believes Trump is guilty. Hard to say but he is 78, just won a 6 year term. Will his legacy mean more to him, will where he finds himself in the history books matter to him, will moving the GOP back to their core values matter to him? Only he and Elaine know. What I do know is that if he makes it known he will vote to convict the GOP numbers go up.

Good for you. You should think about that the next time a man like Trump asks you to pledge eternal loyalty.

Since he never asked me to do that, thats a really stupid comment.

These would be the same coven of Senators who helped push the lie about mass voter fraud since November, looked away as their constituents raged about QAnon, looked away as Trump called the virus a Democrat hoax, shrugged every time Trump defended autocrats against America, and so on.

I would start trying to see what these Senators are, rather than use them to validate your partisan feelings.

Right, because your partisan nonsense is so much more appealing.

Just my opinion here. Republicans who may want to convict and whose names are called before McConnell may pass and wait to see how he votes.
