I don't see him as the kind of man who would do that.

I don't either and nor do the scum trying to deny him a seat. If he was as bad as they claim, they would be terrified to try to block him

Well that certainly sounds like a noble use of one's lifetime position in the highest court of the land.

crushing leftwing scum sounds noble to me. merely ruling properly will do much of that though

I dunno; if some schmuck in the media accused him of planning on it, a number of people around here would latch on to it and (at least want to) believe it.

I think you need to take a break from the computer.

I hope when he is seated, he will use his power to get even with those who trolled lies about him.

Yeah everyone buys season baseball tickets for their friends with a credit card that they cannot payoff until a sudden influx of cash arrives to pay them off, years later.

You just like this crooked judge because he is off the charts on guns.

I hope they make a ruling that trolling gun owners is a violation of the second amendment punishable by 40 years in new Jersey!

Nah, I want to watch the meltdowns when he is confirmed. and when Trump replaces RBG, the lemming tsunami to the sea will be joyful to watch

Meh, I've done 20 years in Ohio. NJ would be a cakewalk.

You're hoping for a supreme court justice to spend his career getting revenge on his political enemies. The meltdown is your own.

Looks like Diane Feinstein has signed up for the MeToo movement. She accused Kavanaugh of doing something sexually improper, but she didn't say what it was, and she wouldn't identify the person it happened to, who didn't want to pursue it, but she did offer up that he committed this atrocity back in HIGH SCHOOL. So the guy is publicly accused of some indiscretion way back in high school, with no details whatsoever, by some anonymous source, and Feinstein thinks he should withdraw his nomination because of it.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/13/politics/kavanaugh-feinstein-letter-fbi/index.html

The FBI refused to open an investigation. The MeToo movement should be angry at Feinstein for using sexual abuse as a fabricated political ploy. Makes them all look silly. And dishonest.

I don't think it makes anybody but Feinstein look bad...and it does reflect very poorly on her.

Fox News is referring to this as Feinstein's "Hail Mary" pass: Feinstein's shameful Kavanaugh Hail Mary pass | Fox News

If true, Kavanaugh doesn't come out of this looking too swell either:

"She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result."

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Georgetown Prep has a Star Trek-style force field preventing females from entering parties.

From your link:

Sources familiar with Feinstein’s decision suggested that she was acting out of concern for the privacy of the accuser, knowing that the woman would be subject to fierce partisan attacks if she came forward. Feinstein also acted out of a sense that Democrats would be better off focussing on legal, rather than personal, issues in their questioning of Kavanaugh. Sources who worked for other members of the Judiciary Committee said that they respected the need to protect the woman’s privacy, but that they didn’t understand why Feinstein had resisted answering legitimate questions about the allegation. “We couldn’t understand what their rationale is for not briefing members on this. This is all very weird,” one of the congressional sources said. Another added, “She’s had the letter since late July. And we all just found out about it.” https://www.newyorker.com/news/news...ugh-stirs-tension-among-democrats-in-congress

So a woman now 53 has waited all these many years to come forward but she and others are eager to protect her privacy. If she is willing to besmirch another person's reputation in this way, let her step up and identify herself.

The reason these women are always hesitant to come forward sooner is embedded within your own post, which is the assumption that there is something untrustworthy in her motivation for coming forward. It's actually a step beyond "when did you stop beating your wife" and more like "why did you stop beating your wife?"

Oh, give me a break. She was 17; now she's a grown woman of 53. It's not okay to assassinate another person's character--she needs to step up.

Proof of concept.
