Now before you say this is made-up BS, a lot of media outlets are talking about it... ;)

Only if Obama, Pelosi, or Schumer tell him to.

I would favor a pardon after trial, not before. Since no trial happened, there should be no pardon.

I expect/hope Biden will hold to his promise that he wouldnt pardon his son, so I would further hope that he wouldnt pardon Trump. Let Trump pardon himself, test the limits of presidential power - and reap the consequences, either now or further down the road when the roles are flipped

No.

Biden is going to pardon his son unless he makes a deal with Trump, which would get him (Biden) off the hook for his statements.

A quid pro quo would settle everything.

I doubt it but that would be pretty cool if he did.

Healing the country involves allowing Trump to be a criminal, lol.

Some people would say that the party would be royally pissed at Biden if he did a quid pro quo.

His reply should be: "**** you. What did you do for me recently"?

Pardon him for what? He hasn't been convicted of any federal crimes,

Some are also postulating that there might be a pardon for pardon deal, where Biden pardons Trump, and Trump pardons Hunter.

We'll just have to stay tuned to see how this unfolds.

That said, wouldn't such a pardon for pardon deal promote the 'healing' which appears to be so needed?

No. Biden is the reason why Trump is under indictment. Why would he pardon him now?

I expect the charges will be dropped due to DOJ policy and there will be no need for a pardon.

And after Trump finishes his term he'll be too old to indict.

That's what the Hur report concluded for Joe Biden. Trump will be even older in 4 years than Biden is now.

All the lawfare will either be dropped or reversed in appeals. There is no need for Biden to pardon Trump, the people just did.

It did not. Unless you're saying in 3 years Trump will "likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory"?

But I'm pretty sure Joe Biden learned who his real friends were a couple of months ago. They do not include Obama, Schumer and Pelosi. If I were Biden I would admit to a lot of the nefarious shit the democrats have done over the last 4 years just to kick the democrats when they are down. Maybe admit that the lawfare was just dirty politics, the Ukraine war was a waste of tax dollars just to enrich the MIC, the democrats cheated in the 2020 election, shit like that.

He did have a strange smile on his face when he spoke to the press after the election, while the rest of the party big shots have looked glum. Perhaps he has already had his revenge. I suppose a pardon of Trump along with Hunter would add to that.

Why not? Though in the long run, it will not matter, The cases cannot be pursued while Trump is in office and all that was still ongoing is pretty much dying off. The convictions will likely be overturned on appeal anyway.

And he actually looked better and more alert. He just might have been the better candidate and maybe could have beaten Trump! Never underestimate the ability of the democrats to shoot themselves in the foot, repeatedly. By now they are all walking around on knubs.

The SCOTUS granted presidents king like status by decree. He won't be held accountable for any crimes. No pardon is necessary.

After what the DNC just put Biden through, I would suggest that he have a long lunch with Trump and they can iron out their issues. Then he should go on national TV and give Trump the biggest endorsement he can. That will start the healing. I've never been a big fan of Trump, but I have to say his tenacity and resiliency are world class and there really is no reason why he had to run again, other than do what he believed was right for the American people. Anyone else would have been scared away by the many hoaxes, two impeachments, massive scale lawfare, a hostile MSM and two or three assassination attempts, but not Trump. He earned my respect. I still don't particularly like his manner, but he more than makes up for that in courage and dedication.

I don't know if it's legally applicable, given that there was no trial. However, I think it would be a good thing to do. I also think it would be good for Trump to pardon Hunter. We all know that these prosecutions were political in nature. Let's stop acting like third world countries with our politician and prosecutions. They may be guilty-ish, but it's time to move on.
