Why Won't Biden Run On His Record?

What record? After 47 years in office, and losing in the presidential primaries twice, he can't even claim credit for Obama's lousy economic record; an average GDP growth rate of 1.88%.

It's so amusing to see so-called 'conservatives' complaining about Biden not getting things done.

Conservatives used to say "That government is best which governs least."* One would think that true conservatives would appreciate a president whose main accomplishment is not doing much governing at all.

You're all over the place with deflection, but whatever keeps you amused.

I'm talking about Trump's stellar record with job creation for Blacks, minorities, and you're prattling on with the issue of fiscal responsibility. Apples to oranges.

Yes, Biden calling African Americans "Super Predators" in 1994 was obviously racist, yet the left says nothing.

Seems to me that 8 years (32 quarters) of growth, with no recession is a helluva better record than 3 years of growth (pretty much at the same rate as before) and then a deep, deep recession.

Ok, that's your closing argument with 13 days left to the election? Interesting that an incumbent president isn't running on his four year record or his vision for the next four years. Instead, he's running on -- "but Biden."

For the life of me, I can't understand why Biden won't show all of his accomplishments in the last 47 years as a selling point. Instead, he goes for future promises.
You mean like the Budget Control act of 2011?
Expanding access to health care?
The Cancer Moonshoot initiative?
The fact he sponsored VAWA? Which then led to a major decline in domestic violence?
Oversaw the confirmation of Ruth Bater Ginsburg?
Advocated that the all male Senate Judiciary Committee include female senators?
PROTECT our children Act 2008?

Those accomplishments?

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought the topic was "
Why Won't Biden Run On His Record?" Biden doesn't show anything he has done. That helps him avoid his 1994 racist statement that blacks are "Super Predators" or his eulogy to racist Strom Thurmond.

What did you say?

Such a prototypical response from the Trump crowd. Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty, and then double down on the offense.

This is what you wrote, and what I responded to:

Would you care to tell me how you imagine that you said anything about black and minorities, or how you imagine that you didn't say anything having to do with fiscal responsibility by talking about Obama's economic record, or how you imagine that I am deflecting by addressing the critique that Biden governs least by pointing out that "governing least" has been traditionally prized by conservatives?

“If you don’t vote for me you ain’t black.” That’s an attempt at division. Pitting blacks against Trump on the basis of race.

Can you imagine if President Trump has made a racist statement like that? The media would still be yammering on about it.

We all know that Trump did nothing with regard to job creation for blacks or other minorities. He just rode the Obama growth trend and pretending he was driving.

Again, you're all over the place with deflection. Go back to what I wrote above, the post before last. Debate that.

I explained it to you. If you have that question, then you fundamentally do not understand this election.

Obama's economy, though an improvement over his predecessor's, is nothing to write home about compared to Trump's economic victory prior to the pandemic.

Ironic that the cult that supports the incumbent president that has done nearly nothing good in 4 years -- including horribly handling a deadly pandemic that killed over 215,000 Americans, but instead, is pointing fingers at his opponent's record.

So any resistance to your racist Biden is something we will deflect back rather than address? Let's address his racist statement in 1994. Why not?

Exactly. Trump's big economic achievement is not torpedoing the robust recovery he inherited.
We won't blame the Covid recession on him because we're not Republicans.

Due to the lack of Trump making racist comments the MSM is left with fabrication. Take Charlottevile for example. There are numerous occasions where Trump has denounced white supremacist and yet they still insist on him denouncing them. And if he acquiesces to their stupid questions with the slightest hesitation that becomes the news.

I didn't know Obama was running. You credit him and say it it is Biden? LOL
The point, which is obviously lost on you, is that Trump claims that he gave us the best economy ever and he jump started Obama's failed economy. It was a lie. Obama's economy is nearly identical to Trump's economy (pre-pandemic.) Let us remember, Trump boasted that he'd get GDP to 4, 5, and 6% annual growth. It never was over 2.9% -- just like Obama's.

The biased media is a disgrace.
This is an important issue our society has to address if we expect our republic to survive for another 10 -15 years.

Nope, not true. Obama's GDP average pales in size when we compare it to Trump's, prior to the pandemic.

Trump did not inherit a robust Obama economy. Obama's GDP averaged 1.8 his entire presidency.

ACHIEVING 3 PERCENT GROWTH: For the first time in 13 years, the economy reached 3 percent growth in 2018.
