I thought that this was a pretty good read:
Why Westerners Are Never Told Why They're Attacked
Islamic terrorism is the bitter fruit of a century of failed Western intervention in the Middle East

Why Westerners Are Never Told Why They're Attacked - The Duran
So why won’t Western officials and corporate media take the jihadists’ statements of intent at face value? Why won’t they really tell their citizens why they are attacked?
It seems to be an effort to cover up a long and ever more intense history of Western military and political intervention in the Middle East and the violent reactions it provokes, reactions that put innocent Western lives at risk. Indirect Western culpability in these terrorist acts is routinely suppressed, let alone evidence of direct Western involvement with terrorism.

What I think is funny is the long line of people insisting that no one ever says this.

In other words, you think we should do what the terrorists want? And if we don't it's our own damn fault?
I have been watching MSNBC (Morning Joe) and CNN (Jake Tapper) since this happened and all I ever saw was a whole pile of Americans wallowing in their self pity with the "Somebody Feel Sorry For Us" trip.
Not once in 3 days has any of the TV shows mentioned above ever talked about Blowback. Not once.
Americans play the same media game as Israel does.
We were just going about our daily lives, and drinking our Coca Cola and tending our sheep, and for some unknown "Rational" reason, we were attacked.

If you don't convert to Wahhabi Islam, you've only yourself to blame.
Mind you, an entire chorus of voices insist that's not what they meant. The meant that lack of US involvement in world affairs would result in changing the fundamental nature of this movement
Although the history of America bombing the Middle East while seeking to control it, is long time in the making, ..... let's just consider that this "Blowback" started with the illegal invasion of Iraq.
A complete generation of Arabs across the Middle East have had their dreams destroyed by drones.
If I had of been in grade school at the time of Bush's war on terror in the Middle East began, I would be seething mad as I looked forward to a future of literally nothing because of no education. In every single country the U.S. set out to deliberately destroy the infrastructure and bring the countries to their knees.
You would expect the Arabs to take this sitting down?
I thought that this article was pretty good too.

Poor Saddam. All he wanted was to be left alone to gas the Kurds and everybody who didn't follow the right form of Islam in peace.

Is that the only excuse yuh got for totally destroying the Middle East and setting it back to the stone age?
I think you are simply attempting to defend the indefensible.
Just how many innocent civilians do you think or calculate that the U.S. killed in the Middle East since 9-11?
Millions upon millions of refugees, millions of homeless and jobless plus hundreds of thousands of dead bodies.
And the People of the Middle East should be thankful?

In case you missed it, I would think guys like Bashir Al-Assad might have something to do with that
Bashir Al-Assad might of just done what American government agencies did in 1985.
In 1985, a police helicopter dropped two bombs on their compound, which was a row house in the middle of Osage Avenue. This killed eleven MOVE members, including five children.
Fire also destroyed 65 houses.

You are attempting to excuse the actions of a dictator whose probably been more responsible then any other single person for the bloodshed in Syria.
What is happening in Syria is Syria's problem.
I don't live in Syria, and I am left reading American propaganda to reach conclusions as to how large the protests were and what foreign NGO's were financially supporting the protesters and if any were armed.
All, I do know for certain is that the government of Syria should be left to deal with internal security matters without interference. In the same way that the Americans are not interfering in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain or Egypt as examples.
Who Are Americans To Think That Freedom Is Theirs To Spread?

So Arabs don't deserve democracy? They should just stick with whatever dictator they haven right?
In Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, and Syria if the dictators had peacefully given up power there would be far less devastation.
Oh. My. ****ing. God.
This is just sad.
Are you suggesting that America brought Democracy to anywhere in the Middle East?
It is a joke.
This is what "American" imposed democracy looks like .....
"The Afghan president (A Western Puppet) appoints the governors of each province and district, the mayor of every town, every provincial chief of police, one third of the entire Senate, and even every judge in Afghanistan."
In Iraq, there is a CIA agent in every ministry.
Let's get serious eh?

You mean that we should interfere and supply the nerve gas to dictators like America did with Saddam to use on the Kurds and against Iranians?
