Because he knows that he will walk away with NOTHING but embarrassment at Putin basically tells him to go to hell as regards his so-called “peace plan”. In fact, Putin has already done so. He has sized up Trump and knows that he is basically a coward and a groveler unless he is surrounded by his lackeys. Putin knows this because it makes him a mirror image of Putin himself.
