Why They're Wild About Palin

she isn't however, presidential material.

Value judgment and summarily dismissed as such.

experience aside, she seems to be of average intelligence, is attractive, and has been in the right place at the right time.

Subjective. Dismissed as such.

i think she couldn't actually be criticized on the issues, because except for the social issues she didn't really UNDERSTAND them. ie the bush doctrine.

OK. Whatever.

Neither did the provision that Palin was calling 'death panels'. It was about Medicare paying for end of life consultations with a doctor. What she was calling 'death panels' was exactly what she advocated for in her proclamation.

No it was not. The "death panels" argument was against the possibility that some government paper pusher would choose end of life consultation for you instead of treatment options based on cost effectiveness.

What a way to be dishonest there, jackalope.

that wasn't it at all.

Totally separate issue. How about we address the one being discussed here before you bounce off to another topic?

Sorry, that is the point. Sarah Palin named end of life consultations - the same ones she advocated in her proclamations - 'death panels'.

Blazing Pants on Fire, that one. And the poster that said she called out what she advocated for was spot on. That's exactly what she did.

Sorry, but it's not the point, much as you need it to be so.

No, she took issue with government officials having power to decide that end of life consultations are more cost effective than treatment options.

I really wish people around here could ****ing read.

That is what she said the bill said, but in fact what it said was that the Medicare would pay for end of life consultations - end of life consultations being exactly what she advocated for in her proclamation.

She basically just made **** up. And every single fact checker called her out as pants on fire for it. She pretended that what she advocated for was somehow something different. But then, too, this is Palin we're talking about. Tether to factual reality is not strong in the Palin.

OK jackalope. whatever you say dude. I've come to understand that if there is the slightest chance, no matter how absurd and out of the realm of logical thought it is, that something else can be pinned on Palin, you people will put so much energy and mindless tenacity into trying to make it stick that it isn't even worth engaging you.

now wait a minute....she wrote this:

"And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."

isn't this absurd?

There isn't a logical thought process in Palin's death panel argument. She flipped on her previous support for end of life consulations, and she just made up stuff that was not in the bill.

I actually chose to go with the facts, and not the Palinite scare dogma.

OK, jackalope. I get it. You think Palin is the devil and I don't. We can just go to our separate corners now, ok?

Palin is Hot!

To be honest - the more conservative the women the hotter she is.
