Alright Pride, what's it going to be? Fat-boy or Savage? Let's get this over with.

Navy Pride said:II think that was probably one of the worse games we played all year but we won Baby!!!!!!! We are the Superbowl Champs and we got one for the thumb!!!!!
How sweet it is...........
Pacridge said:Congrats, I'm happy for you. Perhaps your father is smiling as well, I hope he is.
The Hawks made it much farther then I gave them credit for, sure wish they could have finished the job. There's always next year. If nothing else maybe they got that post season monkey off their backs.
Navy Pride said:Thank you my friend and my hat is off to the Hawks.........They are a class organization and a class act...........They have nothing to hang their heads over........They have a good young team and will be heard from again.....
I just think with the Bus and all it was destiny for the Steelers.....
Peralin said:The Seahawks are better than the Steelers. The Steelers may be on a roll, but the Seahawks have been on a roll all year! Just look at position match-ups:
Alexander vs. Parker/Bettis
Alexander wins easily. Bettis is good, but only for short gains. (And who is Willie Parker?)
Hasselbeck vs. Roethlisberger
Both great QBs, but Hasselbeck has more experience than second-year Ben.
Jackson + Jurevicious + Stevens vs. Ward + Randel-El + Miller
Even. The recievers are all good and neither team has an advantage.
Seattle Defense vs. Steelers Defense
Even. Seahawks have allowed only 24 points in the two playoff games, and Delhomme had nowhere to go with the football. Steelers have good blitzing defense with Polamalu and Joey Porter, which puts pressure on QBs.
Holmgren vs. Cowher
Holmgren has won a Super Bowl before, Cowher hasn't. Gotta go with Holmgren here.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers are good, and are on fire. The defense may scare Hasselbeck a bit, but it won't be a major factor. Roethlisberger has the talent but lacks experience, and he'll crack if the game is tight. Steelers have lots of momentum and have the support of the fans.
But the Seahawks have been on fire all year. Going 13-3, losing to the Jaguars, the Redskins (in a game that should've been won), and the Packers (when the starters sat out after Q1). Seattle is a good team, and they can't be beaten.
I pick the Seahawks to win a close one, 27-21.

Worst National Anthem
Worst Game
Worst Commercials
Worst Halftime
and because I'm dieting...
Worst refreshments in my fridge!
Deegan said:I agree with everything but the game, those guys all played well. There were some times that the Seahawks wasted precious time, but they played their hearts outs, all of them. The Seahawks are the better team, but they just couldn't stop the wave that the Steelers were on, just look at that first half, the Hawks dominated! This is why I changed my mind at the last minute, emotions controlled that game, and they were all in favor of the Steelers. As for the rest of that crap, who else thinks the Stones are all washed up, and that they are embarrassing themselves? That was the worst halftime show in history, it was actually painful to watch, I know I'm not the only one who thought that was atrocious!

KCConservative said:They may have dominated the first half, but it was still practically scoreless. The Seahawks laid an egg in the final minute of the half. It was embarrassing. Bettis didn't even take the field until the 2nd quarter. For all of the Bus hype, he ran 43 yards. That's pathetic. The team with the fewest mistakes won the game, which isn't saying much for the world championship.
Somebody put Aaron Neville out of his ever-loving misery. Good Lord, he is terrible.
The Stones are like 2x4's with instruments and Viagra. They can't sing a note and they just look silly playing rock & roll at their age. Worst halftime show ever.
Where was Joe Montana? They marched out all of the MVP's and he was a no show. How lame.
Do we know why Holmgren and Cower didn't meet at the center and shake hands? Isn't that done anymore?
Maybe the FedEx commercial was slightly amusing, but not really. The ads were atrocious.

I wanted to call it Elk Ridge Dr. since we have a resident elk herd. But there was an Elk Ridge Dr already and the 9-11 district wouldn't allow two street name to be the same.
And yes our street sign is often stolen.
Pacridge said:I sure many feel the way you do about the Stones, though the fact they keep selling out large areas says many disagree with you as well.
My wife would really disagree with you. If she were a mod you'd be banned (al'a M14) just for saying that. She's dragged me to these shows in multiply states. One year we went to eight shows in five states. I'm pretty sick of seeing them. I can usually tell what songs coming up next. What comment Mick's going to make prior to this song or that. Far as I'm concerned they should have cashed it in right after the Tattoo You tour of the early 80's. But as long as she goes to Jimmy Buffett with me I'll go to the Stones with her.

Deegan said:Well I have not been to a Stones show in 15 years, but I know they were much better then, and they were still considered "old" then. I don't know if they were having a bad night, or if they are just losing it, but maybe your wife can speak to that?
Pacridge said:Well, I agree with you. But she loves them. She sat here in awe during the show yesterday. She when got on the phone with several friends and talked endlessly about what a great show they put on. Her only complaint was that they only did three songs. That and she was upset that the stage they used, according to her, was better then the stage they've been using at the shows we've been to this year.

It was a great scene in Pittsburgh last night - they closed off the South Side, and Oakland was rocking all night. Just like the old days my friend.
Enjoy!
They certainly didn't prove that yesterday. Pathetic performance. But all that matters is the score at the end of 60 minutes.Navy Pride said:the best football team in the world............

And , as I have already said:
Pathetic pre-game, pathetic national anthem, pathetic officiating, pathetic halftime, pathetic commercials, pathetic game.

Nor would I try. Unfortunately yesterday, the team who sucked the least became World Champions.Navy Pride said:They did not play their best game but that does not take anything from the records they set getting there, beating two number ones, a number two and a number three...Something that has never been done before.......You can't take that away from them..........
