Something to consider when a Supreme Court justice is unfit for the office, now circulating around Justice Thomas. The fact it hasn't happened before doesn't mean it isn't now warranted, given how the Court was turned upside down by the previous administration. Removing one justice will still keep the majority conservative-leaning court since they added three appointments in the last Presidential term. It is the open issue of his questionable actions for a Justice's personal affairs, his wife's active involvement in a failed coup against the government by overturning the election. He previously stated they both discuss legal matters regularly since they are both lawyers and had knowledge of her work.

Thomas has tarnished the Court and its decisions with the country, giving it the appearance of bias. If Trump is indicted and proved, Thomas must resign or be impeached for stepping past accepted ethical behavior for a Supreme Court justice. Not doing so harm's the court as long as he sits on it.

Paul Watson literally made a video about just how mad they are!

Then why base it on what Trump did?
Because his wife was involved and he didn't recuse himself. That is corrupt as hell, and destroys the credibility of the Supreme Court.

It's grounds for impeachment.

I don't agree with the "if Trump is indicted...." part. Thomas actions are corrupt and grounds for impeachment regardless.

What he did was unethical, he absolutely should have recused himself but that's not necessarily impeachable. Now, if it is determined he discussed private court discussions with his wife who, in turn, shared them for political purposes, that's different. However, even then a 50/50 Senate will never impeach him.

It seems there is a racial component to this, a lot of people seem very comfortable using a racist term towards Thomas.

Yes, bigots love finding fault with the target of their hatred. As is oversaid, sometimes a cigar is a cigar. In Thomas' case, his character not the color of his skin seems to be the problem, action done with reckless indifference to the position he holds in society. This is just my opinion, but many now are against his political views which, I guess. is a form of acceptable bias. It's a bias both parties celebrate.

I don't disagree, but not the better case to be made against the entire Trump corruption of government, as important, to document so as not repeated.

VDARE Watson and slut-shaming again. I believe you when you keep declaring who you are.

Which cases should he have recused himself from?
In January, we got a glimpse of the justice’s frightful lack of judicial ethics. That’s when the Supreme Court rejected Trump’s plea to shield his White House records — which included communication with Virginia Thomas — from the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack. Only one justice sided with Trump and dissented from the ruling: Clarence Thomas.

Of course Thomas should have recused himself from that case. And he must, for the sake of fairness and public trust, recuse himself from any other Jan. 6 cases that may come before the court.

I prefer to wait until his wife testifies for the 6 Jan Committee before making ANY judgement.

Certainly her texts to Meadows, the actual content is concerning.

Don't hold your breath. No way she testifies.

Then i won't jump to conclusions. The Committee's job is to fact find. Unless Mrs Thomas actually testifies it's CT which i prefer not to do. It makes us sane folks sound just as nutty as Trumpers.

I was a Watergate junkie, still am in some respects. It's what prompted me to seek my profesional degree in history.

There maybe something to this, I just prefer to stick to established facts. This Committee has thus far done a great job, I look forward to more.

Partisanship aside Thomas is hopelessly compromised and should resign. If he won't he should be impeached.
