The clamor for the release of the so-called Epstein files has reached a fever pitch.
My feeling is the vast majority of those demanding to see "the files" want to see how much the GOP will be damaged by the data especially since the mid-terms next year are critical for the Democrats' success at the polls.
The foremost goal of course is to hurt Trump, the duly elected president of this country.
To me, it is all about political fortunes for next year and very little to do with "protecting the innocent" whoever they are.

I am at a loss to understand how 'creating the Epstein issue' could benefit the GOP. Maybe you can explain it to me since you brought it up.
I do believe their goal is to make it go away because it only casts more suspicion on the president and his party.
 
Epstein was a known sex trafficker.

People who have power, have access to power and are connected to Epstein should be investigated. I don't care what party they are from, where they fall on the political spectrum, etc. If Bill Clinton is investigated and it is found he needs to be charged and if found guilty...then he needs to rot in jail. Clinton is just one example. But I think you get the point that for most of us, this about justice for crimes.

And I would think that if a sitting president is being mentioned in files kept by a sex trafficker, you would want that clarified ASAP one way and the other. And let's be honest here, ok...

If this was about Obama or Biden when they were sitting presidents, you would be screaming bloody-murder if they handled this the way Trump has and you would be right to do so. So, spare us the victimhood.

There's this investigation where a bunch of grown men had sex with underage girls and Trump is protecting it with his life and Maxwell is in prison for it (as was Epstein).

Release the files.

So, THAT is the reason this thread was posted. We don't know who would be in those files or what their connection to Epstein would reveal.
Just as likely some Dems and other rich folks, maybe a Royal or two would be in there. BUT........................ NONE OF THAT MATTERS..
If there is even the briefest possibility that Trump might be named or that there will be evidence of inappropriate conduct, the files NEED to stay secret.

Then his loyal supporters take the route of suggestion that the ONLY reason for exposing the files is to bring Trump down, when we ALL KNOW that if any files anywhere existed that would bring Dems down without touching a Republican, a Rightie or Trump, folks like Jay would be DEMANDING their release NOW!!

It's like they aren't even trying to hide their fealty to Trump or their blind need to defend him.

AGAIN - anyone might be in those files. Might be Dems or leftists or people other than Trump. BUT .......................... if there is even a 1% chance Trump might be named and tied to something unsavory, Trumpers will want the files kept secret and come up with distractions and deflections like...................

When in fact many of the most demanding folks wanting to see the files are hardly leftists, that many of those demanding the release of those files are MAGA faithful.

But y'all know, even a 1% chance Trump might be named in those files means some of his minions will look to blame EVERYONE ELSE for wanting to release those files because those minions don't want to know who is on there. Just in case.

So anyone who went to Epstein's island is a pedophile?

How would anyone today know the difference? Birth certificates?

Forget the political fall out ! Once America gets back to the Constitution and and we ensure that ALL PEOPLE follow the same Laws, THAT IS WHAT'S SO IMPORTANT !

Setting a precedent is very important here !

Just like USAID was a unregulated way to allow CRIMINAL Politicians to launder US Tax money for DECADES, and the DEM-REP Monopoly turned a Blind eye ! That was a BAD precedent!
But Trump getting DOGE to uncover this an shut it down was a GOOD precedent for AMERICA !(even in the left don't yet understand it)

If all who willingly and knowingly abused these under age children, they all should have their day in court! And hopefully others will not repeat Epstein crimes !
 
I think it is important because it will reveal that it is a matter of wealth and power across the political spectrum instead of being limited to one party or the other.

Why protect pedophiles? I want the files released regardless of who is in them.

Heck I expect Bill Clinton to be in them, Prince Andrew, potentially Bill gates from rumors

Other. A desire to know who, among the rich and powerful, was involved with (became a ‘client’ of?) Epstein’s sex with minors ‘service’, yet avoided prosecution by the ‘just us’ system.
 
Why are you trying to protect Epstein and trump? Why do you think these high powered folks went there, for the beach? They could go to any beach on the planet, why Epstein's place?
