Why is the average firearm owner, an unsafe gun owner? (1 Viewer)

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. RF6 says there are no universal gun rules. You're claiming you're right. How do we know who is right? Because it matters quite a big deal if there are universal rules or not.

I'm not going to argue someone else's arguments or statements. When you see multiple links all referring to the same 4 gun safety rules (with dozens or hundreds more if you google it yourself)...what are you questioning? If it's the rules...the links easily verify the 4 rules AND their widespread awareness.

Please stick to responding directly to mine. If you have access to a dictionary, you should be able to understand mine...which is based on your claims and the words you used.

I'm going to say it's because they aren't trained how to safely use firearms. Simple as that.

With that statement in mind, answer these questions. We were focused on access and storage at the time:
Everybody knows...do you think the cops who's kids get their guns and kill themselves or others "dont know?" Yes or no? Please answer the question. (If they had training, they'd know, right?)
How many times does a person need to be told to make their gun secure and inaccessible to minors/others? To be safe?
How much training (being told, learning) does it take to do the above? Please answer both questions.

So you're saying that RF6 is in the wrong. Thank you.

Don't know what?

I'm going to say they need quarterly training and proof they have faithfully followed the 4 universal rules.

I'm going to say based on the current rates, a lot more. More than once every year. That's for sure.

.0005% fatal accident rate isn't good enough proof ?

You would rather argue about the arguments than support your positions. How amusing.

Do you advocate quarterly training for motor vehicle owners? Motor vehicle owners have a higher accident rate, and many motor vehicle accidents result in mass casualties.

You know, the various state DMVs often consider a history of no accidents or traffic tickets to be proof sufficient to allow someone to renew their license with no test...for decade after decade.

Now...can you support your previous accusations that I don't own and use my guns safely?

Number one killer of kids yes that's good enough proof for me.

As for you not being safe with firearms? Where do you keep your firearms again? Which unlocked drawer do you keep them in?

Number one killer of kids yes that's good enough proof for me.

That isn't true, nor would it support your claims if it was. Entirely irrelevant to your claim that the average gun owner is unsafe. Nothing but an old, lame, desperate, false appeal to emotion.

As for you not being safe with firearms? Where do you keep your firearms again? Which unlocked drawer do you keep them in?

You made the accusation. You should be able to tell us, if your accusation wasn't a lie.

The number one killer of kids... doesn't support my claim the average firearm owner is unsafe with their firearms.

Neat. Well I'm going to say that this is the proof I'm right.

You made the accusation. You should be able to tell us, if your accusation wasn't a lie.

K. Let me know when you store storing your firearms safely.

So you're saying that RF6 is in the wrong. Thank you.

Dont lie and dont mischaracterize my posts for convenience. If you cant keep up with RF6...dont hide behind me.

Please answer my questions directly...why wont you? You cant seem to handle RF6 and you cant seem to meet my posts head-on either...such constant avoidance makes your inability to do so obvious.

Cant you even directly support your ⬇️ own statements?

I'm going to say it's because they aren't trained how to safely use firearms. Simple as that.

Do you see the question marks? Please address the questions they punctuate...is there some reason you cant? The questions directly address your statement in green. What's the problem?

Dont lie and dont mischaracterize my posts for convenience. If you cant keep up with RF6...dont hide behind me.

I'm literally telling you that you're proving RF6 wrong with your post. RF6 doesn't take care of his firearms. When asked directly where he keeps his firearms, he refuses to answer because we already know to the question. He isn't safe with firearms.

Whether your like the answer to your questions or not, it's up to you. I've already answered them.

You've "literally been wrong" about many things so I'm not bothering with what you and he discuss.

Whether your like the answer to your questions or not, it's up to you. I've already answered them.

No you havent, that's a lie. Or...feel free to requote where you answered them directly and not with more questions. Put up or...?

The number one killer of kids... doesn't support my claim the average firearm owner is unsafe with their firearms.

No, it wouldn't. You would have to be familiar with basic mathematics to understand why. But since it isn't even true, it's a doubly lame argument.

Neat. Well I'm going to say that this is the proof I'm right.

You can say any sort of nonsense you please, and you quite often do.

K. Let me know when you store storing your firearms safely.

So you aren't going to support your scurrilous accusations. Big surprise that. It's hard to support a complete and utter lie, isn't it?

Circular nonsense.

Why should I answer? You must have had the knowledge of my gun ownership and use already to make the accusation in the first place, right?

No, you didn't but that didn't stop you from making the accusation.

No, you did not. If you need to lie, you've failed. Why cant you address my statements directly? I'm not accepting the way you try to play semantic games, that should be obvious by now. You are in over your head. Or...respond to these directly. Put up or ...?

If you ask how much training does it take... and I answer "they need quarterly training".... I answered your question. Again, the responses to your questions are in Post 1377. Let me know if you need help finding them.

That's just your opinion on how much training gun owners need. The data doesn't support that, and you aren't supporting it via argumentation.

Do you advocate quarterly training for motor vehicle owners? Motor vehicle owners have a higher accident rate with their motor vehicles, than gun owners with their guns. Not only that, but motor vehicle accidents regularly result in multiple fatalities. Gun accidents seldom do.

So is quarterly training a good idea for motor vehicle owners? Or just for gun owners, on account of you own a motor vehicle?

OK, one question. Now, the rest please.

If you don't like the answers, then don't like the answers but respond to them.

You dont answer them directly. You answered one out of several in that post and they are interconnected.

If you don't think there is an epidemic of gun deaths in the U.S. then you are delusional. We outpace every industrialized country by over 10X the rate of gun deaths is 30X greater in the U.S. compared the average of other industrialized nations. We outpace almost every other non-industrialized nation in gun deaths. To suggest it isn't a problem is to bury your head in the sand.
Why should we care about gun deaths versus murder rates ?

Idaho has a very high gun prevalence compared to ny state , and has a high gun death rate compared to ny state.

However despite this , Idaho has about half the murder rate than ny state.

Which is a valid measure of safety , murder rate, or gun death rate?

Facts are facts. I am sorry you don’t like them. I am not saying that you in particular are unsafe with your guns. I am responding to the OP which asks a question. The answer to which is because most people who purchase guns do so for recreation. Objects purchased for recreation in the U.S. have a clear an obvious statistical bad safety record. Ergo that is why the average gun owner is unsafe with their weapons. You have not done anything except whine and cry about the underlying facts. You have done nothing to disprove the those facts. I am sorry you feel so vehemently opposed to simple facts. That is an issue with you not with the facts.
Seeing as the the overwhelming vast majority of personally owned firearms are used safely demonstrated by the small number of accidental deaths caused by firearms you claims seem to be little more then bs pulled out of your ass.

I am not your secretary. I have done the research. Instead of being triggered by facts and whining...do some research.
That you think it isn’t obvious why you refuse to back up your own claim is hilarious.
