I go to a website that has a mix of anarchists and minarchists. The other anarchists there who I talk to don't like my idea of using the system of Democracy of the state to get rid of it... or to minimize it. They think that a revolution is the only way. They think that it's only possible to get rid of it once and for all just with a final push or something like that.

I understand that theory... that it seems hopeless at times. I just think that we have more of a problem getting real reform with our current system because it only really allows for two real powers to be in control and it disallows competition for Presidency. I think that a Democracy is necessary to get these reforms out. Otherwise we would just be doing what Mussolini did. We would be forcing our will against the masses. We would be oppressing them just like these totalitarian dictators and leaders we so hate.

So why do they think that we should force it upon the masses? I think that the people should have a choice. Nothing is impossible in my view. I think that anarchism is quite indeed possible. I just don't think we should force it upon people who don't want it... so I ask... why do they think that it is their right to force it upon others? It's just the same as the GOP or Democrats forcing their view upon society. It would be all the same.

I just thought I'd ask.

Democracy is an extremist ideology based on the flawed notion that everyone is educated, competent and capable of making the right choices.

Presumably this is the US you are referring to?

Anarchism is not about reforms, it's about abolishing the state-authority system which is viewed as oppressive.
So why do they think that we should force it upon the masses?
A revolution is not possible without the support of "the masses".
I think that the people should have a choice. Nothing is impossible in my view.
They do, they choose not to support or participate in the proposed revolution.
