Why Donald Trump’s message is ‘poison’ to swing voters

Trump is a huge problem for Republicans in blue and purple areas. The Senate will be tough, and House members in higher-income suburban areas are at risk. Running away from Trump is possible. Staying coy is death. He is a polarizing figure that will either raise or sink candidates associated with him. The House still probably stays in the GOP column, but losses could top 20 seats. Demographics is destiny.
