Why do you suppose President Trump kept telling us he would love to release his tax returns but they are under audit when in fact....

He in fact somehow managed to avoid an audit for two years while in office?

Because he didn't want to release his taxes and no one made him.

All presidents' returns are automatically under audit for the length of his term. The fact that Don the Con avoided an audit will make heads roll.

Trump never lies.

Clearly this is another example where the Deep State is out to get him.

Posting a thread like this proves there are Trump "haters" out there who suffer from TDS.

Trump walks on water so any negative stories about him are total bullshit.

MAGA!

Maybe he was under the same assumption that everyone else was...that the IRS was going to audit him as is customary.

Surely, it was just a misunderstanding. He's clearing agitated by this long delay.

See if I understood you correctly?
So Trump assumed that as president he would always be under audit so wouldn't release his tax returns?
Presidents get audited every year, so when exactly was Trump going to release his returns as he intimated to the voters he would?
Was Trump just deliberately misleading people into thinking he intended to release his returns, when he knew he would always be under audit and have an excuse not to release them?
How has every other modern president managed to release their returns given that they were in a similar situation to Trump?

Uh huh. You know as well as I do every time the subject came up his response was the same, I'm under audit. I would like to think presidents don't act under assumptions.

Nope. Trump was lying about tax audits while he was a candidate. Long before the mandatory IRS audits. He had no attention of ever releasing them.
