Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Why do these "Christians" vote against just about everything Jesus stood for?
- Trump routinely commits all seven deadly sins: Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride;
- Jesus never once condemned abortion or homosexuality;
- The entire Bible never condemns abortion, at worst it's far less of a crime than murder;
- In fact, babies under a month old may not even count as people;
- Jesus came down hard on the rich;
- And on arrogant religious leaders, including those who arrogantly pray in public (plus another dig at the rich);
- He may have even suggested that gender confirmation surgery is acceptable

Are you saying that white Christians are "very good people" too?

This is actually an interesting question, but it presumes that Jesus would be a Democrat or liberal or progressive if He were around today.
Libertarian seems more like it, or maybe Green?
But I know plenty of Christians who wouldn't vote for Trump over the pooty-grabbing stuff & so on.

When people try to put Jesus into a political box, it shows that they have absolutely no clue why He was here.
The bible certainly condones "very fine people's" point of view: Genocide, Racism, Rape, Murder, Ignorance, Slavery.
So it's not like it's a big leap for a Fundamental Christian (or a Fundamental Muslim). There's a long tradition of it.

Jesus would have definitely been a Trump supporter imo.

Why Christians Vote Republican Despite It All. Sex is reserved for marriage between a man and a woman. When it comes to "gender expression," there is no difference between "sex" and "gender," and the Christian response to gender dysphoria is compassion and treatment, not indulgence and surgical mutilation.
Most Evangelicals vote Republican because it reflects their own personal and religious views of morality. Christianity is not about freedom. It is about living your life according to God's standards. Religion teaches us to love all people but just because you love others doesn't mean that you approve or accept their lifestyles or actions.
That is the Old Testament... Christians following the New Testament and Christianity...
You mean they aren't trying to put the Ten Commandments up in Court Houses? They didn't use the OT to justify slavery? They don't use the OT to justify trying to prevent gay marriage?
Jesus said OT law still applies Matthew 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
This "We don't believe in the OT" is nonsense, used whenever it's inconvenient to admit to supporting a book which describes a truly despicable and disgusting being.
Yeah...me too.

You are undisclosed though...
The OP does not mention Jesus so I will stick to the OP.

Clearly, because they think he will appoint enough "conservative," i.e., anti choice, judges to outlaw abortion. That's the one issue they really care about, that and gay marriage.
and because self described Christians aren't necessarily really followers of Christ at all.
Some denominations might follow such scripture but not your normal Christian.... just like you normal Muslim doesn't answer calls to jihad.
