The reality of the birth of Israel was both sides were fighting over control of the dirt allocated to the original residents of the area.

In the declaration of the state of Israel the term “Eretz Israel” is used. Eretz Israel is all the land allocated to the Jews and all the land allocated to the Palestinians and chunks of land belonging to their neighbors.

I have to disagree with this.

The American understanding of the situation over there since the Nakba bears little resemblance to the reality. The ADL has been quite effective in this.

Israel has always intended to get rid of the Arab population in Eretz Israel. The land allocated to the original residents is part of Eretz Israel. They moved on it the first night. Driving 700,000 people from their homes and villages. And lying to the world’s face about it. An Israeli historian busted them completely on it and now they acknowledge that it happened.

But they don’t feel bad about it.

They just wish the historian had kept his damned mouth shut.

An incident of Hamas stealing aid food does not prove that Hamas “routinely stole humanitarian aid”.

Personally I still want to know how Oct 8th happened in the first place. How Israel had no idea the drills were happening but knew exactly where all the Hamas headquarters were the next day.

The only person who had a good day on the 8th was Bibi. He was about to get kicked out of office and possibly thrown in jail.

And now the goals of his party are moving at rocket speed.

Oct 7th happened because HAMAS achieved strategic surprise. Israel has fantastic intelligence organizations, but they are limited in capacity. They decided a while ago to put focus their efforts on Lebanese Hizballah and Iranian nuclear / senior leadership, assuming that Gaza posed a lower threat.

The outrage is the framing of this comment and how it's disconnected from reality. Being vocal about was the Israeli government isn't a condemnation of Jews and their right to exist, but the current actions of their government.

Wow, that's really stupid especially since the cost in lives of non combatants is affecting how Israel is viewed across the world. The younger generations in this country and the rest of the industrialized world have an increasingly negative view of Israel, and not because they hate Jews and Judaism, but because they don't support the treatment of the Palestinians.
