Isn't is a good thing for evangelicals to support someone with similar values that isn't from their direct denomination of Christianity?
Should I throw a fit over atheists supporting the (Christian) Obama?
Similar ideas? they claim it's a cult like the rest of us.
Mormons and evangelicals tend to have similar values when it comes to social issues, I don't see it as "selling out" for evangelicals to vote for a Mormon that supports traditional family valoues and is (supposedly) pro-life.
"supposedly"
LOL, i like that
Romney hasn't been all that strong either way when it comes to being pro-life. Obama only affirmed his ignorant "war on women" bullcrap rhetoric. I think Romney may be pro-life but too spineless to actually do anything about current abortion policy. That's why I say "supposedly."
Well, i agree with the commentator. I believe they are willing to put their politics before their god. And i believe that is what is happening here. I'd be willing bet if Rmoney was islamic or a agnostic (atheist might be pushing it), they would still vote for him only because it's traditional to vote with the person with the "R" after their name.
When i say traditional to vote, im talking out the speech that comes from the pulpit.
Gee...and Muslims are supporting Obama. Look at how far he's bent over the table for them.
...actually...our enemies are supporting Obama too. He bends over just as far for them too.
Did you expect us to support the Muslim candidate?
Religion is just a tool such as the American flag lapel that politicians like to use to gather votes.
Hm..... so if we Christians put God above pragmatic politics we get bashed for trying to create a theocracy.... and if we put pragmatic politics above religious denomination we get bashed for being hypocrits.
Errrum.... :doh

That is assuredly true of some politicians, including Obama, who attended a particular church to create a political base. But to say this of Romney, who has lived his faith his entire life, is ridiculous. He hasn't always been a politician, but he has always been LDS.
The operative sentence in your whole OP (and reason for posting) is "it seems like to me". Translation...YOU hate the guy and cant see why everyone else doesnt. From time to time, I like to dip my foot into the cesspool that is Foxnews.
While perusing their "opinion" section, i noticed this piece "attacking christians."
It asked the question "Why are evangelicals like Billy Graham and Ralph Reed stumping for Mitt Romney?"
The answer was: politics matters more to them than religion
I was really surprised by this answer. I mean really, i thought "Faith, Family, Freedom" was the mantra. I always thought christians placed their beliefs above ALL, even FAMILY.
Do you agree with the commentator that politics is more important than your religion? It sure seems like it to me. It seems like they are selling out.

Im not really sure where this goes, so ill place it here in the US election section. Move it if you need to

I have know of men who have been priests most of their adult lives and , oh never mind.

You cite the message "faith, family, and freedom". Surely you must have some sort of evidence where this 'cult' based on a belief in Christ takes stands in opposition to those values, for you to have anything resembling an actual point (other than you are 'very liberal' and hate the guy).
