Why can't Americans find Jesus?

Why can't Americans find Jesus? Why are we so bent on destroying each other based on race, national origin, political beliefs, gender, sexual orientation etc? Is it time for Americans to go back to Church again?
He'll no.

Evangelicals and hard right religious people are doing a fine job of putting into motion the destruction you mentioned. They use religion as a weapon to excise any group that does not conform to their beliefs and they're doing a great job of hastening the secularization of the country.

On a lighter note, perhaps Jesus is hanging with Waldo.

I figured we would be seeing him any day now since the anti christ is running for president. Nothing like the anti christ to get some Gods up in arms!

Are you talking about the same god who commanded His people to kill all the Amalekite children and infants because they were Amalekites? The same god who commanded his people to stone homosexuals to death?

It sure is a mystery why people would be bent on destroying each other based on race, national origin, political beliefs, gender, and sexual orientation, isn't it? More worship for the Lord of Hosts* is definitely the answer there.

*Somewhat counterintuitively, the title "Lord of Hosts" is not referring to the lord of throwing parties, although Jesus was a famous partier who used his divine fiat to keep the booze flowing. The term "hosts" in this case, refers to armies. YHWH was the Ares of his time. The Hebrew Kratos. The God of War.

How is Jesus too harsh?

The whole bit about coming back with an army to wage war and conquer all the earth in order to instate a theocratic dictatorship which He would rule over with an Iron Scepter is seen by some as not a particularly gentle ambition.

Also, the bit where you have to acknowledge Him as lord and sovereign over every aspect of your life and serve and worship Him for eternity, else be cast into the flames of eternal torment doesn't really help.

More people have been killed in the name of religion than for any other reason. It's hardly a conflict free pathway.

Didn't know he was lost.

The whole divine command theory doesnt tell us anything about why something is wrong.

I'm going to interpret this as why can't we all just get along.

And it has to do with faction loyalty. I'm supposed to be on the side of the official view of the LGBT because I fit that demographic and I've been told that the others not only want you subjugate me but even kill me

It's a battle for hearts and minds. It all depends on the master you serve. I've even had gate keepers try to revoke my status in that demographic for daring to think for myself

Power is in numbers but might does not equal right

Maybe they can't find him because he never existed.

Perhaps because he was a mythical personage created by a faction of the Jews 2000 years ago, who had been influenced by other religions during their travels.
Jesus the man likely existed. Too many people wrote about knowing him personally and the details of his life for it to have all been made up.

Neither the threat of eternal torture nor the promise of permanent bliss are motivational to me. I live my life the way I find most satisfying, and that includes family, friends, morals and values. I do so because I believe it is the right and best way to live, not becuase of threats or outsized fantastical promises.

Why was there nothing in writing by the Roman's for 93 years?

That Flynn is a scary dude. You ever see The Dead Zone with Christopher Walken? I could picture him authorizing nukes.
Sounds familiar. I love Walken films.

QAnon are boy scouts. Flynn hangs with the Rod of Iron Ministries, as well.

Armed Moonie MAGA nutjobs.

Who wrote about knowing him personally?

Who wrote about knowing him personally?
Matthew, John and Peter all knew Jesus personally as they were part of the 12 apostles, and went on to write books and epistles in the New Testament. James was not one of the 12, but he was Jesus' brother, so I guess he must have seen him around the house growing up.

Paul claimed to have seen Jesus in a vision, not sure if that counts or not.
