Why are some people obsessed with multiculturalism?

Right. The labels they use to depersonalize those who hold different opinions is a great way to silence any opposition. Oddly enough, 'free speech zones' on University campuses was once thought of as a great liberal idea, and few seemed to recognize the actual contempt this idea had for free speech itself.

Yeah, goes back to this illusion the left has of supporting free speech. What they mean is any speech that agrees with them are free to express it. Any others, not. We can see the end effect of this in the 'liberal echo chamber' centered in the New York City based media, especially the news media, and their group think.

Do you believe that a turning point may have been reached? The Weekend Interview with Greg Lukianoff: How Free Speech Died on Campus - WSJ

It seems to me that the rise of Fox News can be directly attributed to the MSM reporting the news only on a 'need to know' basis.

I think that Fox News is a news outlet that identified an under served market segment, namely a more conservative news perspective, and seeks to fill that market. Their clear success in serving that market clearly demonstrates that this market exists, much to the bane of the liberal / progressives, which would rather that everyone consume their biased lame stream news media, hence they take a certain amount of pleasure in attacking Fox News.

You interesting article clearly shows that the liberal / progressive indoctrination of students all through the public education institutions and higher education institutions is clearly underway and actually far along in their progress.

You can still find signs in parts of US that say "No Dogs, no Jews and no Irish" or something similar towards Irish, Italian, Japanese and other minorities..

Cite this or shut up IMHO.

Its clearly a lie. But then lying is such an intrinsic part of the left's armoury that it is to be expected. In any case Italian and Americans were never explicitly against the US state or the American people whilst Muslims in Europe hate the indegenous people and make war on them for 'al islam'.
