Why are Red States having the biggest poverty levels?

The current party is the Bircher wing mixed with the German American Bund. There are still some regular Republicans, but they are people standing inside a burning house because they heard that it might be cold out there.
One of the good guy GOPs is Rep. LaHood, who replaced Kinzinger for me. He’s voted for Ukraine ALL ALONG, voted yes to certify Biden as President, and does very important farm work in conjunction with China.

You may remember his 7-term Rep. father Ray, who was Secretary of Transportation for Obama’s 2nd term. He’s currently working on Amtrak links from Chicago to Peoria connecting new towns.

Thats one way of looking at it. A better way is to point out that Mississippi had an unbroken string of democrat governors that lasted nearly 120 years. Republicans have only been in charge for the last 20' Louisianna is about the same--4 republican governors since Reconstruction. Arkansas has had 5 republican governors since 1877. Yup must be them durned republicans fault.
Those Democrats became Republicans in the great switcheroo due to the Civil and Voting Rights Acts which your current ilk abhors, but you already knew that Fletch.

Unsourced and biased. These same states have among the lowest cost of living.

Time and again, indoctrinated lefties with no critical thinking shills post such propaganda.

They have a low cost of living and high poverty rates. Be proud.

Based on a one-size-fits-all scale of stupid only.

What matters is the purchasing power per state. If the state average wages are 20% lower, but so is housing, food, etc. then it is equal to that other state compared in real purchasing power.

But then the left is really dumb in such manners.

Yet the left runs states that pay more in taxes than they receive from the government. Without the stupid left, the ridiculous right could not exist. Real purchasing power is made possible by government subsidies to the right. Every idiot on the right knows this, but won't admit it.

Why is that cycle concentrated in red states?
Because Republicans suck up to the rich and give them everything they want, ripping off everyone else.

The time for a UBI is quickly approaching, and our government has been very slow to prepare for that eventuality.
One could say it is a wonder what capitalism expected, but capitalism is brainless. It just rambles on with the power of big capital putting the squeeze on everybody else who doesn't have the power of big capital.

Big powerful government is needed to "Regulate the Commerce," as it says in the Constitution.

Without big government then big capital just has it's way with people.

Is it? Or is it just a byproduct of living in a rural area...?
It is a byproduct of the powerful taking advantage of those with less power.

This is what happens when state governments push people to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps when they lack boots to begin with….

This isn't particularly complicated.

Since the Republicans first put an actor in charge, the entire conservative economic world view has been a myth, i.e. that promoting the interests of the wealthy will raise all ships.
The idea of a UBI is based ENTIRELY on that notion.
It has always been an objectively verifiable falsity by comparing other countries and has proven, in the US itself, to be an objectively verifiable falsity. It never trickled down and it never will.

These red states have promoted these policies for years and you see the results.

Until low income people stop hiring billionaires to protect them, it isn't going to change.

Is the Democratic Party paying Trump to hold "news conferences?" They should be. They gain ground every time Trump holds one of these sham "news conferences."

News conference? What a joke that is. It was a political speech on one of Trump's properties, during which some of Trump's followers were able to pose as reporters to ask Trump softball questions that neatly fit into his campaign. Trump had a fifty minute opening statement instead of the usual five to ten minutes for a news conference.

Every thing about this "news conference" was phony. Is Trump so freaking stupid that he thinks he fooled anyone into thinking this was a news conference. Even his followers are embarrassed by this blatant ruse.

The Democrats are hoping Trump holds more of these.

It is difficult to believe this convicted felon is the Republican candidate for President!

"Donald J. Trump, who has routinely sought delays in his four criminal cases, wants to use the extra time to fight his conviction on 34 felony counts in Manhattan," ABC.

The GOP sure can pick 'em. Why are they allowing themselves to be led by the poorly educated from the rural counties of America who are incapable of responding? https://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president/
People are waking up to the ruse that is con man, felon, fraud, rapist, racist Don-old.

His core maga followers don't care about any of the above. They are fine with law-breaking if it gets them the culture war victories they want. But those 'tag along' voters with brains are having an increasingly difficult time justifying their association with all that depravity.

Compare your list to a list of states with the highest infant mortality rates and a list of states with the highest teen pregnancy rates.
Is it just coincidence that many of the same red states appear on all 3 lists?

But how could that be?

Does it also map with the states that have the worst education rankings?

Coincidence?

The stupidity of the one-size-fits-all system gives the red sates a benefit that is not needed.

You progressives, in general, are hurting yourselves with the high costs of living in blue states.

Because Republicans suck up to the rich and give them everything they want, ripping off everyone else.
Really?

Are you blind? The left has probably more elitists contributing to them, and the tax policies are high marginal rates, but the left votes for so many tax breaks for the rich it is ridiculous.

The right chooses lower marginal tax rates and a removal of the tax beaks for the elite.

Stop listening to the propaganda, and focus on the facts.

The best way to control the commerce is higher tariffs on imports, to return union wage manufacturing jobs here.

Want cheese with that whine?

Oh, so republicans do not promulgate the mantra of pulling one up by ones bootstraps?
In general, people of conservative values want to help people by teaching them how to help themselves instead of making them dependent on handouts. Your analogy is too simple.

So why is poverty concentrated in conservative areas?

Why does 2/3rds of America's GDP come from counties that vote democrat?

Why do red states take more in federal handouts than they contribute, while blue states contribute more in tax dollars than they take?

Faxed it, liberal policies work. Conservative policies do nit.
