The OP may be confusing intelligence with knowledge. In general, everyone is as knowledgeable as everyone else. They just know different things.
Some people do have better brains than others. They are more intelligent. So what? Some people are stronger than others, or can run faster too.
Only a jerk would sneer at people who can't run as fast a "slowpoke" or not as strong as a "weakling". But it's chic to call other people "stupid" if they know different things than you do.
Knowledge is what people have learned.
Not everyone has learned a lot.
Yes some people have learned different things but that does not mean they learned or is as Knowledgeable as everyone else.
High achievers might know how to do car maintenance, build a computer, the process of how semiconductor chips are made, fly a plane etc.
Low achievers may only have worked in the same job doing the same thing every day learning very little outside of their job
