“I only hire the best people” - Donald Trump

That ended up being a farce given the comical level of turnover. That said, not everybody was an incompetent corrupt swamp monster.

I commend a few of them for dealing with an impossible boss for the good of their country.
 
They were all a shit show while they were in the White House. Post White House (the bar is low), John Kelley was probably the least bad. Betsy DeVos wins in the Most Cartoonishsly Evil Disney Villainess category.

I voted other since Steve Bannon isn't on the list, and you seem to have left Stephen Miller off as well. He'd be my second choice.

Finally, Hope Hicks is also off the list. She'd be my first choice if I were a bit drunk and feeling randy.

In retrospect I’m glad some adults were in the room to push back against the worst of Trump’s impulses.

Sloppy Steve was on the outs with MAGA at that time. He didn’t gain favor in the MAGAspehere again until he was patriotically summoned to stop the steal

You missed his actual best hire: Jerome Powell. So far, he's turned out to be an excellent Fed chair.

I always found it comical that the most stable, sane, and reasonable person in the Trump administration had the nickname “Mad Dog.”

The silence is just part of his character. As for Theranos, while it might be bad, it probably has no bearing on his competence. He was the best Trump 'hired'.
