Who should have the right to vote?

Someone is bound to say "yeah but, they are all commie countries." Hence, in my opinion, a need to pass an intelligence test to vote ;)
whats funny is, the few people ive heard call for an intelligence test would never pass it, especially if it had questions on it about how our government works lol

I still wouldn't mind, because you and I know which group of people would fail.

Should every citizen have the right to vote?

Democracy allows that every "eligible" voter has the right to vote, but WHO should be "eligible?"

There is already an age restriction and there are those who have suggested it should be lowered or adversely - raised. Why?

Should inmates be allowed to vote? How about anyone deemed incompetent due to age, or infirmity?

What if a person belongs to an "organization" such as BLM, or Proud Boys? Should Muslims be allowed to vote? Women? Blacks? After all, ORIGINALLY, those groups were excluded from voting.

Should there be an intelligence test that one has to pass in order to vote.
Consider this: one must pass a Civics test to become a citizen, so why not something similar to vote?

What other restrictions would YOU like to see? OR, as long as you can prove you are a citizen, should there be none?

I'm starting to entertain allowing felons and prisoners to vote. Let them start holding elected officials accountable for their failed social and political polices that as a result, increased the odds of them winding up where they are.

Let them vote for change from the status quo.

- Civil servants, including military, police, etc. With an experience of conditionally from two years, as much as possible.
- People engaged in any professional activity, paying regular taxes. With an experience of at least two years, as much as possible.

People who are directly involved in the affairs of the country should have a direct influence on the politics of the state or region through elections. And dependents, parasites and other idlers should not allowed to such events. If democracy is really so important, then you need to take it seriously.

Property owners who can pass an intelligence test would be a start.

Only landowning white men over thirty five and not convicted felons should be allowed to vote.

I suspect the conservative justices on the Supreme Court would find this constitutional relating to our omnipotent Founders.

If an American citizen can get to his precinct, show his proper ID, and make his choices, then he should be allowed to vote.

I am not against non US citizens voting if they are paying taxes.

I do want to see a national requirement for ID.

Not in context of who should vote.

It establishes the same principle owning does.
No it doesn’t. Unlike the owner of the property, you dont have legal tax liability for the property. The State isn’t coming for you, the renter, if those property taxes are unpaid. Why should you be entitled to representation for taxes you aren’t legally liable for as a renter?

I'm not interested in illegal aliens voting in any election. I believe in Rule of Law, not wokeness theory.

I very much want to see a national requirement for ID. It gives an added level of security against voter fraud.

Great question.

That is why some really nice people oppose "democracy."

Here in Los Angeles, the attempt to recall the outrageously woke district attorney has failed.

Why?

Because the authorities claim that not enough registered voters signed the petition to put the matter on November's ballot.

I think that most Americans probably still believe in one person one vote.

But it is difficult to believe this when you see the kind of individuals who are being elected by the "people."

In short: Is "democracy" actually the best system of government? Or is it simply the least bad?
more conspiracy.

I like things simple, if you are over the age of majority and a citizen, you get to have your vote counted. I can't think of any exceptions, I will entertain.
