You didn't have a "sound explanation", you have excuses for a candidate calling for the use of military against American people and who has called for punishing media sources and private companies if he thinks they aren't saying enough nice things about him. It's a pretty commie move, and it should be important and discussed as he is seeking top office.
You do know what it's your prerogative means. I know you do.

Why are you belaboring the point then?

I thought like you did when casting for Ron Paul in 2008, but this is an entirely different election than that was for me.
I want to be counted for Trump.
Trump is the lesser of two evils for me.
Just like he was in 2016. But we weathered that Administration and we will weather the next Administration because our country is stronger than any one leader in the White House.

Why does it seem that every time @trixare4kids repeatedly posts in a thread, the discourse erodes?

I hadn't realized I can vote for whomever I want and not be tortured to let anyone know my choice. Thanks for clarifying that.
But since you asked, I'll tell you.
Neither Trump nor Kamala will receive my vote.
On the Left Coast my vote for a Republican is swamped by the votes of hundreds of thousands of Liberals who believe the Democrats are best for this country.
They're the ones who still believe the earth is still the center of the universe.

You seem to not be one of those i was talking about in that post.

I hope and pray so. 🙏

I admit it’s actually kinda funny to see folks take issue with your argument when many on their side have made the same argument.

Be careful you don't end up labeled as a disgusting bothsider.

And that too, can come from either direction.

Actually, I didn't, but don't let that stop you.

I simply pointed out people's hypocrisy.
As I recall, you deflected to democrats liking trans porn or something similar.

It was pretty weird.

At least Mark Robinson can count on you to have his back.

I agree we need better candidates than Trump and the DEI hire Kamala Harris.
And how would believe Trump is going to take away your right to vote or complain? Will he send jack-booted thugs to your house to arrest you for executing your Constitutional right to vote and protest?
And will the sky fall on you if Trump is re-elected?
The problem with playing stupid is that nobody else is obligated to play. Trump, after losing in 2020, used violence to try to block congress from certifying the election.

No, what I wrote below is not bullshit. You don't deserve more or less than any other citizen. If you don't vote for one of the two viable candidates, you forfeit your right to bitch about the way the election turns out.

Also, the disgrace is the arrogance of those who think their vote, their wants are more important than any other citizen's. I thought I read that y'all loved democracy? Sounds like you want it all your way. That's not democracy. It's an autocracy. Make up your minds about what you want. Be sure to vote, and thank your fellow citizens' for their voting too, even if you disagree with their choice. That's the American way, that's democracy.

You have no reason to complain if you don't vote against him then.
Yeah it’s bullshit, we have every right to air our grievances against politicians we oppose- and we will keep the right as long as Harris wins.

What do you mean by "deserve"?
Like Clint Eastwood said in "Unforgiven" just before he killed Gene Hackman:

You live with this electoral system just like everyone else.
If you wish to change it, there are Constitutional procedures to do that.
You think I can’t criticize Trump without doing “Constitutional procedures” to change our electoral system? That doesn’t make any sense.

I mean, not sure that inciting a sedition, working to overturn an election, labeling Americans as the "enemy within", and promoting the punishment of media if they don't say what he wants makes him the "lesser" of two evils. Trump has a pretty hard commie streak going there.

You're a free man with questionable ideological beliefs.
You can criticize anyone anytime you want.
Trump is an easy target. Go for it.

It's Socialist Kamala whose voting record is to the Left of Bernie Sanders that worries me.
Trump may be authoritarian but I doubt he has a 'commie' streak.

I think she's on the Right side of logic and common sense.
I think the discourse continues to be lively especially for those of us with thicker skins.

It's sociopathic narcissistic and cognitively feeble Donald Trump that worries me.

The guy literally believes that people are eating cats, windmills cause cancer, he won the 2020 election, and 98% of his own followers have cognitive damage. Statistically, it follows that Trump believes that 98% of the 17 people who voted "Trump" in this thread have cognitive damage.

He pines for the power of Un. If it's a difference between like debt forgiveness or using the military against Americas for being "the enemy within", I think debt forgiveness is far less damaging.

No problem on my end. You are starved for attention, and today I decided to give it to you unlike I do on most other days.
Thanks for that.

BRB.

IMO, she only posts respectfully with people she agrees with. YMMV

What I notice now is that it’s not enough to just not vote for Trump, you better ****ing vote for Harris or you’re a traitor or something. The sense of entitlement they feel Harris has to your vote is impressive.
It’s akin to religious dogma.

Queen Latifa loves her name just fine.
Queen Latifa is an entertainer who uses that name professionally. It has nothing to do with other professions.
I will call you anything you life in order to be polite.
But I will resist using pronouns in order to suit some 'woke' ideology that ignores genetic sexual differences between men and women.
I'm not against you on this pronoun business. But I'm also against the use of "woke" because it's bad grammar.
I have worked with women in business all of my working life.
I have worked for women and I have had women as working subordinates. There are common sense rules for addressing, managing, and socializing with working women. And men had better learn those rules quickly. The "Me Too" movement is still alive and well in politics and corporate America.
Agreed. But part of why I object to the inconsistency is that it is clearly regressive.

You are not an independent if you only vote and promote one party.
Being an official member of a party is being a member of that party. I'm not an official member.

Most of them here have a need to be in a big group, be popular. It's like a middle school clique. Power in numbers.
I doubt any of them could stand on their own feet like the few remaining conservatives, and Trump voters do.
Everyone can stand on his/her own feet during the period of their life when they have a lot of money, a tenured job with excellent pay, or a home that is bought and paid for and is actually covered by good insurance.

Please post a link to a widely respected professional economist who doesn't think 60% tariffs on Chinese goods will cause inflation to balloon.
English is not my native language. But I think I wrote my response well enough that your reply makes not sense.

To recap, neither Harris’s nor Trump’s trade was policies are good for the US economy. The more draconian the measure the worse. That doesn’t mean a less but still shitty policy is a good one.
