WASHINGTON -- Top White House officials counseled Democratic senators Thursday on coping with disruptions at public events on health care this summer, officials said, and promised the party and allies would respond with twice the force if any individual lawmaker is criticized in television advertising.
These officials also told skittish senators that fresh polling suggests an emphasis on issues such as barring insurers from denying coverage on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions is a political winner, able to increase support among independents, women, seniors and rural voters.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss details of the closed-door session that took place hours before lawmakers headed to their home states for a monthlong vacation.

I have to say to everyone, prepare for an up turn in the lies coming from not only the White House but all of the Dims (no spell error) in Congress along with efforts connect real grass roots opposition to some vast right wing conspiracy that is non existent.
I believe this is one of the largest revolts against any legislation I can ever remember.
I also believe it's time to start the threats. Not about any violence ever but about removing Liberals from office for voting for this Bill knowing we the people don't want it.
If we don't fight back we get the "Obama I Don't Care About Your Health And Kill Granny Plan".
Finally growing some balls?Thank God that we finally see the Democrats growing some balls.
And promised the party and allies would respond with twice the force if any individual lawmaker is criticized in television advertising.
Nice use of the Limbaught talking points!

What I truly love about you mindless post is it points out something better than I could ever hope to. I do not now nor have I ever been a fan of or listener of Rush I don't like him or much of what I'm told he says. And where do I hear it? From empty headed Granola Liberals who have pledged and sold their soles to their Messiah.
It is estimated 50% of Rush's listeners are Liberals. Congrats for making a point that without you I could not have proved.
Finally growing some balls?
The Anti-Republicans have had the majority in Congress for two years. They are just now "growing some balls"?????
And the way they grow their balls is by sending out union thugs to do a little smash-mouth head-butting Chicago-style politicking, where the opposition winds up needing some health care to ice down the bruises and set the broken bones?
That's some amazing courage the Anti-Republicans have.
Brickbats to senior citizens is not courage. It's a more sickening form of cowardice.I agree. The Democrats, for the most part have been a bunch of spine-less...ball-less wimps, who despite having the "numbers" haven't had the courage to use their power to accomplish much of anything.
I have been saying, at least for a year, that the Democrats need to grow a spine. I'm glad to see that they actually are showing a little conviction and ability to fight back against the right-wing machinery.

... when are the liberals going to start blaming Democtras for holding up The Obama's Health Care Boondoggle?
I'm just wondering when the liberals are going to develop some intellectual honesty and admit that the GOP has nothing to do with this being held up -- and that, when they blame the GOP for same, they are willfully LYING about it, just so they can score political points.Shouldn't you conservatives be grateful it is being held up by some liberals?

For "not" being a listener...you sure do have the talking points down.
This proves you liberals just don't get it. We don't need anyone to tell us what to say or do, we just do the right thing. It isn't about politics, it's about common sense and morality. I can't tell you the number of times I've posted my opinion on something, then some smart ass liberal tells me I'm spouting the words of some talk show host. All you people do is try and discredit legitimate concerns and valid opinions by labeling them "talking points", rather than addressing the comments themselves. Either that, or you find a way to change the subject to avoid legitimate debate.
It's lame.

Hey DD,
The Dem's have the House, the Senate and WH...
Why haven't they passed this Glorious "reform" yet?
I'll tell you why, they all realize they pass this and they'll be looking for jobs in 2010 and 2012, they need the GOP To vote with them to give them cover.
"The party of no" isnt holding health care up -- and so, your use of that term is dishonest, designed to lay blame on those that do not deserve it.The "party of No" will not agree to any form of healthcare reform that doesn't benefit the insurance corporations. There is no chance whatsoever and the Democrats know it.
This proves you liberals just don't get it. We don't need anyone to tell us what to say or do, we just do the right thing.

Shutting down town hall meetings by chanting, hanging congressmen in effigy, sending out mass emails lying about what the president says, these are the "right thing"?
