White House sharply lowers expectations for Trump-Putin summit.

BUT, at a minimum, they certainly became our ALLY...and business partner...when Trump squeezed the deal for us to take Ukraine's rare earth minerals.
Now, all Trump has to do is to keep Russia from, ya know, taking the land where those rare earth minerals are located.

Now....what does Ukraine get in return for cutting that deal?

They've gotten quite a lot before the deal, and the deal requires more investment by the U.S. after the war is over as it doesn't give the U.S. a right to take what it wants.

There is no "swapping" with Putin only Ukrainian surrender. Trump was fooled again and he knows it but he can't resist the publicity. It is much the same as his "meetings" with Kim and like those meetings nothing good will come of it and Trump will again embarrass and belittle America for his own benefit. Rolling out the red carpet for a murderous genocidal dictator is about as low as we can get.

that was never going to Happen with just Putin, Putin asked for the meeting. if Trump thinks he's serious, then Z comes in. But Trump will call EU leaders after the meeting either way

such dishonesty. I said "never going to happen with just Putin" and Trump never said otherwise It's the first meeting with Putin.
Then it progresses or not depending on the results/ intentions by Putin as read by Trump

You are trying to squish 3 or more meetings into 1

Actually, it's a giant "give a way."

Here's one example: the military aide - about $500 billion worth - already given to Ukraine and expended (in the war) by it *counts* as post-war reconstruction assistance by the United States.

I mean, as Trump said: "Ukraine had no cards."

How many "one days" are there in four years? Maybe if Trump would beg the Nobel Prize Committee for votes the way he begged the Geogia governor he would bag one.

This is probably not a whole lot different than Trump's wives and girlfriends and mistresses and affairs after sex.
