Dinesh D'Souza has drawn a torrent of criticism with a Forbes cover story that accuses President Obama of adopting "the cause of anti-colonialism" from his Kenyan father.
But while most detractors focus on the author--and Newt Gingrich, who embraced the critique--the White House is aiming its ammunition at the business magazine.
"It's a stunning thing, to see a publication you would see in a dentist's office, so lacking in truth and fact," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs says in an interview. "I think it represents a new low."
Gibbs is meeting with Thursday afternoon with Forbes's Washington bureau chief, Brian Wingfield, to discuss his objections. "Did they not fact-check this at all, or did they fact-check it and just willfully ignore it?" he asks.
The Forbes piece begins by calling Obama "the most antibusiness president in a generation, perhaps in American history." D'Souza then uses long, winding threads in an attempt to tie Obama's policies to his upbringing. "He took his father's dream, his vision, his ideology," D'Souza says in the interview.
Howard Kurtz - White House rips Forbes article
It can't really go in any direction. D'Souza seems more like a truther than anything else. Maybe if she had said 'Obama's stepfather' who had a far more important role in his life than his biological father.
In his biography of Barack Obama, David Mendell writes about Obama’s life as a
“secret smoker” and how he “went to great lengths to conceal the habit.” But
what about Obama’s secret political life? It turns out that Obama’s childhood
mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist.
In
his books, Obama admits attending “socialist conferences” and coming into
contact with Marxist literature. But he ridicules the charge of being a
“hard-core academic Marxist,” which was made by his colorful and outspoken 2004
U.S. Senate opponent, Republican Alan Keyes.
However,
through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone
who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The
record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where,
at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son,
with Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting
advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just “Frank.”
Obama's basic ideology runs through out his life from his Mother who was a Communist, and an atheist his Father a Devout Muslim as was his Stepfather only he was Radical about it.
Obama attended a Wahhabi Madras in Jakarta and that group hates America. He then hung out in School with people he himself has called Radicals Communists etc.
He joined the Rev. Wright's Church and attended for 20 years he says, and we know the main thrust of the Rev. is to preach, black liberation theology, which is anti-Constitution, anti-American, anti-Capitalism, and anti-white people.
Now he's in the White House and has brought in every kind of Left wing Radical Wacko under the sun including a terrorist bomber as Czars, advisers or something and people wonder why there are questions about Obama's ultimate ideology?
Are they mentally challenged or what? Give me a break that's just nuts.
People didn't buy this picture that was painted in 2008. I don't see why people are still painting it.
The aswer is easy it's all true deal with it.
The oddities go on and on. Obama's Administration has declared that even banks that want to repay their bailout money may be refused permission to do so. Only after the Obama team cleared a bank through the Fed's "stress test" was it eligible to give taxpayers their money back. Even then, declared Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, the Administration might force banks to keep the money.
The President continues to push for stimulus even though hundreds of billions of dollars in such funds seem to have done little. The unemployment rate when Obama took office in January 2009 was 7.7%; now it is 9.5%. Yet he wants to spend even more and is determined to foist the entire bill on Americans making $250,000 a year or more.
Obama's rationale, that "our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable," seems utterly irrelevant to the issue of why the proposed Cordoba House should be constructed at Ground Zero.

But of course, they're all "divinely inspired."Forbes is and always has been an idiot. He is no different than Murdoch, using his media outlets to promote his own political views over common sense and fact. Not the first time he and his organisation has done something like this. Under Bush they were huge apologists and backers of the right, and attempted to get flat tax through ..and still are. Of course a flat tax would make Forbes even richer than he is..
Maybe if he has said Obama's mentor.....
Obama’s Communist Mentor
Davis is also the most likely person to have gotten Barry started on Pot and Cocaine.

Not so sure about the pot and cocaine, but I feel Davis may have had a large part in shaping the Obama we know today.
Forbes is and always has been an idiot.
