Abandoning his pledge to act by the end of summer, President Barack Obama has decided to delay any executive action on immigration until after the November congressional elections, White House officials said.
The move instantly infuriated immigration advocates while offering relief to some vulnerable Democrats in tough Senate re-election contests.
Two White House officials said Obama concluded that circumventing Congress through executive actions on immigration during the campaign would politicize the issue and hurt future efforts to pass a broad overhaul....
....until after the election.
Expect the last two years of this guys' tenure to be the bitterestNo Clinton capable of reaching across the aisle, he.
Wait. And they think that won't happen after the elections?

Those two "bitterest" years will be the ticket to Democratic landslides in 2016. The absolute best thing that can happen to Obama and the Congress is for the GOP to take the Senate this year and then go absolutely bonkers with every crackpot extremist right wing wet dream being enacted into passed bills that Obama can stand proudly before the nation and loudly VETO proclaiming himself as the last line of rational defense against dangerous extremists.
You could not ask for a better formula for Democratic success in 2016.
I wish I could tag this so it can easily be brought back out to view in November of 2016. I have a feeling it might result in absolute hilarity all around.
Please do. Of course my prediction centers around one key and all important variable: that Obama will grow a pair and turn into the battling, scrapping, fighting defender of the people..... something that he has been rather reluctant to do during the first 5.7 years of his presidency.

So how do you feel about your fellow republican congress critters passing the buck? This is congress's job and they continue to pass the buck.
Defender of the people? Ha! That's a hoot!
Haha
Who's the party of 'no' now?
What, "wet dreams", are you referring to?
I dearly hope it will be the Democrats who have learned the lesson well and shove back deep and hard and twice as rough.
Payback can be a bitch. Its going to come around for the GOP who wrote the book on saying NO.
I just hope the Dems and Obama have the cojones to do it and not flinch.

Are you referring to the immigration bill passed by the House that is sitting in Reid's drawer or the immigration bill passed by the Senate sitting in Boehner's drawer?
You complained when the Rs did it and now you're cheerleading for the Ds to do it? That's mightily dishonest.
When you start it and it comes back to bend you over the table - you got what you deserved. that is both righteous and honest.
Let's drop the republican perspective, and your speaking for them, and just look at this from your position.
You're lowering yourself to the level of actions you condemned. You're demonstrating that your position has no morals or ethics. You're showing that hypocrisy is merely part of your game plan. I have rarely seen such a display of flagrant dishonesty.
What I am doing is giving back what given to us.

Call it what you want. Your position is founded in hypocrisy (doing what you complained about) and dishonesty (previously complaining about something you actually support).
Do you know who Charles Durning is? He is a movie star that sang a song in the movie "Best little whorehouse in Texas" called "I love to do the little sidestep." You may want to look it up and watch the video. It, too, is hilarious.
