White House in damage control mode as potential scandals pile up [W:378]

That's my understanding.

I wouldn't see any problems with any of those things if this was Nazi Germany or Stalin's Russia but it's not. And this president has brought his Chicago style politics to the White house and the house of cards is falling down around him. I give him 6 months max. He will be impeached.

That's my understanding.

Ok. Because the AP's indignation appears to be coming from the fact that they had agreed to keep some facts unknown while this government terrorist sting was going. The idea that the American mass media is somehow 100% trustworthy is a joke................

The media will hold a story as long as they think they are the only ones who have the story - if they think someone else may get it, they go to press immediately, national security be damned. The scoop is all that matters.

White House in damage control mode as potential scandals pile up | Fox News

More examples of Obama incompetence and yet where is the outrage from the left?

When a president of any party gets into trouble, the members of his party always rush in to defend him. Witch hunts, even the Republicans used that word over and over when defending Nixon back in 1973 and half of 74. It wasn't until the smoking gun was found that Republicans actually started to desert him and put some distance between them and Nixon, most not because of the evidence, but because they wanted to be re-elected in November of 1974.

With all this stuff going on today, if there is a there, there. You will see at first everyone protecting the president, but as we get closer to the mid terms, they will begin to peel off. There is an election to be won and if putting distance between those running and the president can help, they will sure do it. Everything will play out in time. No need to get into a huff, This is just the natural way of things when it comes to partisan politics. Be patient and if there is wrong doing it will come out and then the outrage will begin along with the desertions.

Apparently that is no problem for PoweRob or any other Obama supporter and their double standards

To sum it up, no-nothings voted in a no-nothing.

So you don't see any problem with the death of four Americans and the cover up?

What happened in Benghazi was a tragedy. As were these 13 Benghazi's that happened on Bush's watch that you don't seem to give a damn about. And the "coverup" this far is in your head and being fed hyperbolistic biscuits by Fox News.

You don't see any problem with the IRS focusing on Conservative Groups

If you read any of my post on the topic you'd have read that I don't think it was right and it shouldn't be done. And I also find the fabricated outrage that is also extremely selective in that they ingore how under the Bush administration they targetted the NAACP and Greenpeace based simply on Republican requests to do so.

or the Justice Department checking phone records of the AP?

There is hardly nothing known about this so while I have a problem with such spying, I'm not ready to fly off the handle just because Fox says so. I'll logically wait for more info... info that isn't spun into a tizzy by partisans and their nonsense because thus far, you guys are batting a thousand.

Conservative said:
Is there anything that this administration can do that would bother you?

Lot's of stuff but the things that bother me about him you'd not have a problem with. You just look for people to agree to hate Obama... unlike you, I look at policies I like and dislike. Obama stands for some things I like, some things I dislike while the GOP pretty much stands for nothing other than opposing whatever comes out of Obama's mouth. They stand for nothing unless it's a taxbreaks for Exxon.

Does seem like you along with all the other Obama supporters have a double standard and overlook issues that you would demonize a Republican for

You talking about double standards of others is probably the largest irony this board has ever seen.

Wow - 13 American Ambassadors were murdered under GW's watch?? Who knew??

Wow - 13 American Ambassadors were murdered under GW's watch?? Who knew??

My bad... I wasn't aware that you don't care about lives of people that aren't Ambassadors... like a US Diplomat and these other folks:

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.

June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan. Suicide bomber connected with al Qaeda attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.

October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of "Bali Bombings." No fatalities.

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al Qaeda terrorists storm the diplomatic compound, killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.

July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.

March 18, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

Parse it all you want to try and differentiate but your conspiracy hypotheses still won't pan out.

Wow - 13 American Ambassadors were murdered under GW's watch?? Who knew??

I thought it was kind of weird, MSNBC wheeling out Carl Bernstein this morning, as if the WH was standing between the Left and it's "dream"......................

You look foolish trying to defend what is obvious to most of us, I suppose if they were to start rounding people up, disappearing in the night you'd excuse that too.

Your opinion noted as is your double standard. You simply cannot do anything but blame Bush for Obama's incompetence and failures. What you don't seem to understand is leadership and the responsibilities that go with the title. You try to justify Obama's performance by seeming to claim the performance is ok because Bush did it. Like all liberals you have a distorted view of not only leadership but the foundation upon which this country was built including tax cuts which mean businesses keeping more of what they earned since it isn't the government's money first.

Keep feigning outrage over Fox News and their reporting. When the MSM catches up I am sure that we will all be getting an apology from you for your bogus claims about Fox

Firstly, are you suggesting that this type of activity mysteriously stopped on September 2008 or just as President Obama was taking office?

Secondly, the vast majority of people killed in the events you note were not American.

Finally, if you don't understand the significance of an American Ambassador being murdered, the first one in 40 years, since the Carter Presidency, then nothing I say is going to help you lift the blindfold.

You look foolish trying to defend what is obvious to most of us, I suppose if they were to start rounding people up, disappearing in the night you'd excuse that too.

What a  comment. Your conspiracy mindedness are already setting up scenarios of "OBAMA'S COMING TO TAKE U AND UR CHILDREN!!!!!111111!!!!"

No matter how loud you scream you are still just one person and screaming doesn't turn hot air into truth.

To sum it up, no-nothings voted in a no-nothing.

Actually back last year as far as independents went, they had a choice between a candidate they had lost faith in, like fixing the economy and jobs. The other candidate they didn't trust. So the independent voter had to chose between someone they had no faith in or someone they didn't trust. This group of voters which made up 40% of the electorate pretty evenly split their vote 50-50. If you guys had given the voters a better candidate they could trust, then you wouldn't have to worry about as you put it, a know nothing.

Hey ***Clown, I never said that I thought Obama was going to round us up, just that you'd excuse it because your such a drone.

I thought it was kind of weird, MSNBC wheeling out Carl Bernstein this morning, as if the WH was standing between the Left and it's "dream"......................

Woodward and Bernstein will continue to be trotted around, even perhaps in caskets one day soon, anytime there's a sniff of presidential illegality or intrigue.

Like I said, I had no idea that you only value the lives of Ambassadors well and above anyone else. Including the Americans killed in that list and non American's that died because of attacks targetting Americans. Knowing htis about you is rather enlightening.

If I am not mistaken NOT ONE AMERICAN was killed in any of those attacks but that fact escapes Obama supporters

Lets see.....how about if it pans out with this one.

For Susan Rice, Benghazi Was Kenya 1998 Deja Vu

Parallels: A mission was attacked after warnings, Americans were killed after security requests were denied, and a diplomat went on TV to explain it all — our current U.N. ambassador, after embassy bombings in 1998.

'What troubles me so much is the Benghazi attack in many ways echoes the attacks on both embassies in 1998, when Susan Rice was head of the African region for our State Department," Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said Wednesday after two hours with our U.N. ambassador. "In both cases, the ambassador begged for additional security."

In the spring of 1998, Prudence Bushnell, the U.S. ambassador to Kenya, sent an emotional letter to Secretary of State Madeleine Albright begging for a more secure embassy in the face of mounting terrorist threats and a warning that she was the target of an assassination plot.

The State Department had repeatedly denied her request, citing a lack of money. But that kind of response, she wrote Albright, was "endangering the lives of embassy personnel."

A matter of months later, on Aug. 7, 1998, the American embassies in Tanzania and Kenya were simultaneously attacked with car bombs. In Kenya, 12 American diplomats and more than 200 Africans were killed.

As in Benghazi, requests for more security were denied, warnings were issued, prior incidents were ignored and Susan Rice went on TV to explain it all.

Within 24 hours, Rice, then assistant secretary of state for African affairs, went on PBS as spokesperson for the administration — just as she was regarding Benghazi when she parroted the administration's false narrative on five Sunday talk shows on Sept. 16, 2012, that Benghazi was caused by a flash mob enraged by an Internet video. Then, as now, she worked for a Clinton.

Eerie similarities between Benghazi and Nairobi are many. A review of the attacks showed the CIA repeatedly told State Department officials in Washington and in the Kenya embassy that there was an active terrorist cell in Kenya connected to Osama bin Laden, who masterminded the attack.

Do you think Bush's add up to the 212 killed with these and the 4000 wounded? Blackhawk Down Darfur and Somalia sound familiar.

How's that security argument that the Democrats said we fixed so that it would never happen again?

Hey ***Clown, I never said that I thought Obama was going to round us up, just that you'd support it because your such a drone.

Temper, temper.

I'm not buying it Pero, with respect. People had four years to see what a disaster Obama is/was as President and you had a competent alternative and perhaps you let the media convince you that he wasn't trustworthy but nobody who actually knew the man could claim not to trust him. The majority of voters made the wrong choice and you're going to have to live with it.

I will summarize your post so the forum participants wont have to waste their time reading them. I can do it in 5 words Well Bush Did It Also

last week i was pulled for speeding and I said to the cop" well Bush was speeding 6 years ago" and you know he still gave me a ticket . How dare him
