White House Finds No Support in FBI Report for Claims Against Kavanaugh

:lamo :doh

The democrats on the committee agreed to a limited scope limited time background check into the accusations that were before the committee.
Trump then expanded it to let the FBI talk to anyone that they needed to regarding those accusations.

LOL! I have beautiful oceanfront property in Nebraska that I can sell to you for bitcoins! How naive people are to believe that the FBI had the ability to dive deep and the time to do so. Doesn't it make you wonder why Brett didn't simply say "investigate anyone and clear my name"? When people are lying they feign to be raging mad when most often they're lying and by being angry they're pretending...now all that being said it's been obvious the entire time that he is going to get confirmed and if somehow he doesn't Lyin' Donnie will just name someone else who agrees to be his puppet...The clock is ticking on the Trump presidency and there is light at the end of the dark, dark, Trump tunnel leading America back to being the world's gold standard for ethics...versus the best friend of dictators worldwide

this is not a criminal investigation you evidently don't understand the difference between a background check and a criminal investigation.
if it was a criminal investigation then yes. it being a background check the FBI are bound to the scope they were assigned which is what democrats in congress agreed too.

He was cleared the FBI found 0 corroborating evidence to support the rape accusations.
i am not sure you either didn't understand that the first time or just refuse to accept it.

either way the issue is yours and no one else's.

kavanaugh has proven to have a pristine judicial background confirmed by 6 other FBI background checks.
the only people lacking ethics are those that accuse people of sexual assault with out proof and evidence.

PS if you have ocean front property in NB then you got ripped off. YOu should file a fraud charge against the person that sold it too you.

hillary in a land slide.
Kavanaugh will withdraw
how many more fatalist predictions are you going to make that never happen?

It's true. If she votes yes the women voters in her state are going to hold her accountable. And she needs those voters. If she votes no she risks incurring the wrath of McConnell and the GOP. So she's in a bit of being in between a rock and a hard place. So there wouldn't appear to be any good options. But only one option will allow for her to least retain her honor and her legacy and that is to vote her conscience and vote no.

I have no problem when someone trying for the position he is to defend himself reasonably And honestly, but he didn't do that. He came out swinging like a drunk in a bar when someone calls him a *****.

He obviously loses all self control when under pressure.

Not the kind of person you want on the highest court in the land...

What was not reasonable in his approach. Seriously,.. if day after day.. you were being vilified as a rapist, or attempted rapist.. as a pervy guy.. and you had to hear it I the media.. what do you think your response would be? sorry but I understand his being upset.

The analogy doesnt work. The FBI was not investigating a crime.

Sure it does. I robbed that bank 35 years ago. And, if I remember correctly, attempted rape was also a crime 35 years ago.

Nonsense. Republican women (her constituents) are on Kavanaugh's side. She doesn't need Democratic women's vote.

Besides, she's already indicated the FBI report "appears to be very thorough."

That means she's a yes.

If ex-senator, majority leader Harry Reid hadn't set the precedence and first used the nuclear option for a short term political gain, there would have been no need for all these dramatics. 60 votes for cloture would have been needed which would have meant regardless of the nominee, some votes would have been required from the opposing, minority party. But Reid, Schumer and company decided the minority party needed no rights. That the majority could dictate whatever they wanted to the minority. Because of Reid's, Schumer's action, we have had this raunchy, semi porn circus known as a confirmation hearing.

I remember bringing it up when the rules were changed, where they would come back to bight the demacrats in the ass as soon as they were no longer in the majority, and I was right. You an not change the rules to favor youself and expect your opposition not to exploit the same rules, and once the rules were changed the unspoken agreement between both sides was broken and it became fair game.

LOL! Please spare us the nonsense. We all have ears and we don't need any conservative blog to tell us what we all plainly heard for ourselves. Yes he did say Clinton and left wingers are out to get him. This man's blatant political biases and lack of judicial temperament should clearly disqualify him from the court. There is no way anyone could expect him to be able to render fair and impartial judgments.

It is a powerful argument in his favor that Kavanaugh's detractors seem to, almost universally, feel the need to rely on falsified versions of what he said, in order to attack it.

Here is the statement you are referencing:

This whole two-week effort has been a calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election, fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record, revenge on behalf of the Clintons, and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups.

You know what's not in there? "Clinton is out to get me". Revenge on behalf of the Clintons is mentioned along with a laundry lists of items fueling the hysteria of this disgusting, sordid, affair.

If you want to argue that no one was arguing that Kavanaugh deserved what was coming to him because of the Clintons, well, that argument would hold a lot more water if there hadn't been an entire thread on this forum dedicated to people making that argument.

Sure it does. I robbed that bank 35 years ago. And, if I remember correctly, attempted rape was also a crime 35 years ago.

Nope. Statue of limitations and it would have been a state crime 😄

The state disagree's with you. Under state law these would have been misdemeanor's. they have a 1 year shelf life and that is it.
However the state police are not going to investigate without an official complaint.

something that Neither Ford nor swetnick have done.
and won't do.

Yet, they didn't interview either Kavanaugh or Ford, because they weren't given permission to.

Do you have some proof of this or are you just guessing.

I trust the FBI. I don't trust the White House. The White House put limits on the scope that were so constraining that it made it impossible for the FBI to be able to do it's job. Wray has been documenting everything because he knows that this issue is going to be revisited at some point.

And I am sure you have some proof of this and you are not simply making crap up right?

What a joke! The WH manipulated who the FBI could speak with not allowing them to speak to many who wanted to tell their story AND they used an artifical deadline too because it's so urgent to get Trump's consigliere to protect him. Let's wait and see what Mueller comes up with and then, maybe, if we're lucky the cancer that Trump and GOP are inflicting on this great country will be removed...
I have seen many make the claim the white house limited who the FBI could talk to. Up to now no one had been able to provide any evidence what do ever that this claim is true. Maybe you will be different. Let's see what you got. Do you have some evidence for this or are you just dishonestly making crap up.

Point out to us please where Ms Ford got angry. It would seem that you weren't watching the same testimony the rest of us watched.

Noticed you have still failed to back up your claim that kavanaugh promised to get revenge from the bench. You still sticking to that dishonest claim or are you going to man up and admit you made it up.

If I were innocent it sure as **** wouldn't be becoming a blathering idiot and crying because people were being mean to me.

On the other hand if I were guilty that very well may be my response...

Your opinion how the victims of libel should respond is noted. Where did you get your degree in psychology and or psychiatry?

remind me who has backed up Ford's claims?

I agree, she didn't get angry. No need to-the GOP senator's attorney treated her extremely respectively. the dem senators were performing oral sex upon her status. What she did do inappropriately was laugh in an affected way and to conveniently forget the facts that would have allowed Kavanaugh to use an alibi defense.

Sure it does. I robbed that bank 35 years ago. And, if I remember correctly, attempted rape was also a crime 35 years ago.

except what Kavanaugh was accused of by Two Door Ford is not attempted rape. it would have been "juvenile delinquency" back then. Try again

On the other hand if I were guilty that very well may be my response...

When I was a young teen, I was often forced to stand for hours and listen to deranged accusations by somebody hopped up on prescribed drugs. Hours. Usually, I'd just stand there and take it, but sometimes, out of exhaustion, I'd cry. And then I would be told that those were "crocodile tears" and that if I were telling the truth, I wouldn't cry. (And if I raised my voice, I would be beaten for being "disrespectful.")

So I think less than nothing about your opinion here.

Do you have some proof of this or are you just guessing.

The Judiciary Committee has released the executive summary of the FBI report. From Fox News [bolding mine]:

According to the summary of the secret report, released by the Republican committee majority, FBI agents interviewed 10 people and reached out to 11, focusing only on witnesses with potential first-hand knowledge of alleged sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ju...mmary-of-supplemental-fbi-report-on-kavanaugh

Republicans successfully turning the USA into a laughing stock. Yeay.

By adhering to due process and the rule of law? By adhering to every person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law?

Yeah, I'm laughing. Laughing at how utterly insane and desperate the Democrats have become.

I am sure they are looking for body doubles of Ginsberg as we speak.
