I think the problem is the media is always afraid of GOP administrations because they know abuse of Executive Branch power is never far off. Dems they feel safe with.
Personally....I'd like to see some Exec Br. muscle flexed against Fox News....Just to get in their face a bit.
What's Obama got to lose?.....The GOP suddenly gonna try to block his legislation?...They not gonna vote with the Dems?...They gonna bad mouth Obama??
Give me a break!
This is turning bad quickly for the WH. I heard last night on CNN a discussion surrounding the flap here, and openly starting to opine if it were put out there as a distraction for all of the things going sour in the WH. I even heard at one point the person respond in the conversation that this is what budding dictators do early in their rise to oppressive power, attack non compliant media sources.
Sad to see what has happened to this country in such a short span of time from a President that preached in his campaign how it was time to put away divisive politics of the past.....Just another lie from Barry.

meanwhile, here in america the white house warns other outlets not to follow fox's suit

When it's only Fox telling the truth about the czars ... it's far more likely Fox is carrying on political propaganda. Journalism's a highly competitive business. Your Tapper guy would be all over it - if there was news in it.
Fox = propaganda, and Foxies like it just like that.
That is correct; Van Jones, et al., are gone; ACORN is defunded, etc., etc.
Look, here's the thing.
If the White House truly believes that Fox lies and only spreads propaganda, then what would be better than going TO Fox, a fistful of facts in hand, and obliterating them on their own airwaves? What could be more devastating to Fox than that?
If they're afraid of "editing" (which I'm sure they'd cite as a reason not to do it), then make the condition that it be live and unedited. If Fox refuses, then the blame is on them.
This scorched Earth campaign simply reeks of the Chicago Way of not just defeating enemies, but destroying them and salting the Earth. I know some of you want to see the White House use its might to plow under those who have a message you don't want to hear, but to Americans who cherish robust debate, such a thing should be anathema.
abc's white house correspondent jake tapper today takes on gibbs over the fox war:
but opinions, mr gibbs, aren't facts
remember?

That's why the administration and house democrats don't dispute what Fox has presented concerning the czars. They only hurl insults, which is the same thing as saying "guilty as charged".
The reason Tapper isn't all over it, is because he works for a network that isn't interested in things that tarnish the image of our all mighty Messiah.

Czars??? That dog don't hunt. Many presidents, both Democtratic and Republican, have had Czars. That's why NO ONE except Fox is covering this nonsense.
The bill to defund ACORN has not been signed into law because of claims that it is an unconstitutional Bill of Attainder. Indeed Democrats drafted this defective bill knowing that it would never take effect.
Obama has not tried to "destroy" Fox. He is merely verbalizing a notion that most of us have already realized but did not want to say. So far, no one has come up with evidence to rebut the WH's allegation.
Tapper made one of the dumbest arguments ever uttered on national TV. Just because thousands of people work at Fox; how does that prove that Fox is not biased ??? Thousands of people work at the DNC and the RNC; does that mean those organizations are not biased. This is ridiculous. This weak defense demonstrates that Fox is probably guilty as charged.

Indeed Democrats drafted this defective bill knowing that it would never take effect. And many conservatives went for the head-fake. Fox has spent a lot of resources without much results. Its just another case of "Much Ado About Nothing".
The WH gains nothing from debating Fox because Obama voters do not watch Fox for news. We only watch it for entertainment like we watch Saturday Night Live and the Coulbert Report. The people who watch Fox for news are conservatives who the WH is not trying to reach.

Bush the previous record holder didn't have as many czars during the entire 8 years of his administration as Obama has in his first 9 months. Nobody else is covering the extreme left radicals who Obama has appointed, because the only media network which is not a branch of the ministry of propaganda for the Fascist in Chief is Fox News.
In this country it has always been the law that the accuser must present valid charges against the accused before any action can proceed. You are suggesting that one is guilty until he can prove innocence. Thank God we are not Hitler's Germany.

for younger voters this story seems childish
Yes sir! SOME folks are actually waking up, even in the liberal media! I must say a little slow, but none the less Some are indeed aware of the threats being perpetrated against Americans and the Constitution..And the willingness of this Administration to do what ever it takes to bring about fundamental SOCIALISM!
"News of Obama's demise at the hands of Fox has been greatly exaggerated"
Fox-bashing will not cost Obama any losses.
Not only has his poll numbers bumped up but so has the public option and other components of his agenda.
Fox only reaches a small radical portion of the Republican party. The station does not have a broad-based following that could do harm to Obama. They preach to those who already hate.
