Well, the Eastern Empire was infact the Roman Empire, since the original Roman Empire split because it was too big for one emperor to govern. But Pope's wielded immense influence in Europe long after Constantinople fell.

If you are looking for an actual parallel, Christians were generally the lower classes and persecuted in the days of Constantine. Constantine became their champion and elevated them to equal status.

Nowadays, blue collar workers in flyover states are the lower classes looked down on by coastal elites. Trump became their champion and is elevating them.

Correction, Trump called for a complete ban of Muslims coming to the US. I assume that he was disabused of that notion by sane staff members.

just step back a moment and we can observe that a Benevolent Dictatorship would be the Ideal to fix america. at the very Least, the Dark Maga will make america bigger with more states like Canada, Greenland, Mexico and cuba.

the Art of the Deal could include: usa gets all of north america, Russia gets all of Eastern Europe and finally china will sweep all of Asia into it's larder.
