The tech set up my smart Vizio TV programming both the DirecTV remote and the Vizio remote. What is the difference now between the two functionally? I only use the Direttv remote now.

I have no idea, but generally the source signal provider’s (ours is Spectrum) remote also operates their DVR equipment.

I literally have 5 remotes.

If we watch DirecTV on our surround system there is one for the TV and sound.
If we watch AppleTV there is one for the TV and Soundbar, unless we watch with our AirPods.
There is also one for "source".

I ordered a "remote control caddy" to hold all of them. I'm just happy I was able to figure it all out.
