Time to dust off your crystal ball in your basement. I am wondering how you guys feel the election will turn out. We have had past elections showing the following things:

- Supreme Court deciding on the victor. (2000)
- Independent commission deciding on the victor (1876)
- Delayed election results (due to mail-in-voting)
- Candidates will put up a fight over the election results
- Suppression of minority voters on a massive scale. (1876)
- Both candidates will claim they won X states (1876)
- Decisive victory
- Close call
- Congress will pick the President (1824)

I think its going to take a week given the amount of mail in voting. Trump and his enablers will claim fraud without any real evidence, his cult will believe it, and its going to be a ****ing mess. I actually think Biden will win pretty handily (I hope at least), but it's to take at least a week to get all the results.

My wife and I have talked about how since we will vote early, we would like to just leave the country the week of the election. Ideally going to the other side of the world (we are usually in China for at least part of November but that is obviously off), that way we can disconnect from all the insanity that will hit the United States the week of the election.

The problem is that under Trump's incompetent leadership during the pandemic, an American passport is practically worthless, so if things don't change between now and November, there will hardly be anywhere we could go as Americans.

Time to dust off your crystal ball in your basement. I am wondering if the following things will happen:

Clear Winner - One candidate will receive over 299 electoral college votes.

Delayed Election Results - We will not know the President-elect for over a week. Some states will have uncounted votes.

Both sides will claim they won X states - We will have yet another 1876 election. In 1876, Tilden and Hayes claimed they won South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and Oregon.

Close Election - It will be a tight race between Trump and Biden.

Supreme Court will decide the winner- Think 2000.

Trump will refuse to accept the results - Trump will not concede and claim the election was fixed.

Biden will refuse to accept the results - Biden will not concede and claim the election was fixed.

Suppression of the black/minority vote - African Americans will be disenfranchised.

Congress will pick the President - Neither candidate will hit the 270 mark.

An independent commission will decide the election - Just in 1876. Congress will pass a law, creating a commission on who won the election.

I picked "clear winner" and that "trump will refuse" to accept the results because I truly believe that's what will happen.

I'm 50% sure about the "clear winner" - no incumbent has won reelection with their approval rating being where trump's is and there are a lot of people pissed about his handling of covid.

100% sure that some southern states will suppress the minority vote because they always do.

100% sure about trump refusing to accept the results - he's already doing it - the election hasn't even yet happened and he's trying to sew chaos with and sabotage the USPS while claiming that "this will be the most corrupt election in history!".

He is one evil dude.

I have no idea how the election will be decided or how smoothly the transition of power will go - which is really sad!

At the rate in which Trump is coming up with new ways to cheat, any prediction I make now will be hilariously obsolete in two days. But I voted the best I could for now.

The best worst case scenario (or the worst best case scenario -- I think it's a half glass full kind of thing): It's tied and the House picks the President. This is hardly ideal because while Trump would be gone (woot), the Republican Senate would pick the VP (boo).

The worst worst case scenario: it ends up being decided by the Supreme Court. If it comes to that, say hello President Trump 2021-?.

I can't even remotely imbibe lib nonsense anymore (first response in thread)... didn't finish rdg last post..not sure tomorrow's looking good either...fed up

"Minority votes will be suppressed on purpose" This has been going on for so long that it's actually grown to be part of the American culture. One as to ask themselves: "Gosh..who has always hated minorities", if you want to truly expose the culprits. You don't need Perry Mason to figure this one out..

Yep, if the election is close and recounts are required, just watch the Republican goon machine fire up like they did in Florida in 2000 and it will likely then go to scotus.

Ralph Nader was too much of a narcissist to claim any responsibility for W. being elected - trump is trying to make Kanye his "Nader" of 2020.

Aww... don't go away mad, Dude! We'd love to see your predictions.

It's time for...The Cardinal Pet Peeve Soap Box!! [children in audience: "Yayyyyy!!"]

1)It's for everybody to get back on the same page. Make your polls public. Nobody gives a **** about private poll results.
2)Make the choices in your OP match the choices in the actual poll. That way we don't have to feel uncertain about which choices we're voting on.

And that concludes another episode of The Cardinal Pet Peeve Soap Box. Now get off my lawn.

Trump will claim voter fraud whether he wins or loses.

I will say that if Biden wins, the time between the election through January 20th 2021 will be some of the most chaotic times in modern American history.

I've been saying that for two years, but it was always with the deep seated belief that it would be okay in the end. But now? With his open efforts at cheating by blowing up the post office and mail-in voting?

I don't know, man. This is a crap shoot. I honestly have no idea if we're going to be a democracy on any level come 2021. I'm utterly uncertain on that point.

Republican voters voted for this corrupt demagogue to "blow up the system". Sadly, they may get what they wanted at everyone else'e expense.

This one will not be close enough for games to be played. Trump strolls to the win.

That's encouraging. You have done your best to overthrow democracy and this means that you are not certain you can pull it off.

If there is universal mail-in voting, there will be so many accusations of fraudulent activity, probably on both sides, that the Supreme Court will have to decide the victor.

If the mail-in voting is appropriately limited to absentee and military ballots, we will have a similar situation to 4 years ago.

I couldn't vote with those choices. What does decisive victor mean? I think Biden will win comfortably but I wouldn't go so far as to say it will be decisive, although I have no doubt that that is what the left will call it.

My prediction is that Biden wins overwhelmingly.

The fact that Texas and Georgia have had any polls showing Biden in the lead is enough of an indication.

Trump claims voters fraud. His supporters buy it.

Lets get something clear. in 2016 Trump started telling everyone the 2016 election was going to be RIGGED. Rigged against him. Why? Because he is not a good loser. He said so in an interview with Chris Wallace of Fox News. Wallace asked him specifically if he was a good loser and Trump said he was not.

Now in 2020 when Trump thinks he might lose he is claiming mail in voting might rig the election against him. Or China.

Trump has to have a built in excuse ready to go if he loses to make himself out to be the victim of cheating so he can look himself in the mirror.

He will certainly not be the gracious loser like George Bush Senior.

Anyone expecting Trump to be this gracious?

Funny thing is, I was very balanced in my polling options.

That is why he hates your poll. His reply could not have been more obvious: "I never want to see anything about politics that is not very conservative." The only prediction poll that would make him happy is this:

1. Clear winner (Trump in a huge blowout)
2. Biden will contest the results (and lose)
3. Democratic and racial voter suppression

Of course, #1 could not be further from the truth and #2 can only happen in a 2000 election scenario.

Decisive victor.

Mr. Biden will win by a landslide.

My candidate will be totally humiliated.

As a good sport, I congratulate the media, academia, the Deep State, BLM, and China with successfully making Mr. Trump a one-term president.

Of course, COVID-19 played its part, too, and -- in all honesty -- President Trump's abrasive personality also did him in.
