Here are some of the options explained:
Voting Polices:
• Requiring Voter ID Only if the State provides it no cost to the person and provides assistance in locating lost birth certificates.
• Requiring One-Day elections (presumably with the vote counting stopping at midnight) 100% against, we need multiple days due to people's work schedules.
• Banning Mail-in ballots 100% against, as Colorado has proven mail in ballots work.
• Requiring Paper Ballots No
• "When you can't question election results, the country oughta just forget about it." What does this even mean? People question election results all the time. However if you are consistantly shot down in the courts over your objections, YES, you need to forget about it.

Immigration Policies:
• Reinstating Title 42 No
• Reinstating the family separation policy Define what this is or what you mean. Families should not be separated at the border.
• "If people are sick and have infection diseases, we don't want them being [brought] into our country" Compassion can still be done and assisting people at the border.
• Enforcing the United States' borders We already do, have your heard of border control? You can't just drive your car into the US from Mexico without going through checkpoints.

Economic Policies:
• "Drill, baby, drill" Depends on where and why.
• Lowering energy prices Of course, how though?
• Lowering interest rates Of course, how though?
• Starting to pay down the debt Of course, what are you willing to cut to make it happen though?

Abortion Policies:
• Exceptions for the life of the mother, incest, and rape Yes
• Banning abortion at the 9th month or post-birth There are no abortions post-birth.
• Preserving Dobbs Abortions rights should be protected.

I just wanna say **** cnn

According to the man himself, it literally means what says: banning killing a baby after it is born.
That isn't an abortion, since by definition abortion involves terminating a pregnancy.

So what Donald should have said is infantide. Now then - in what state/s is infanticide legal?

He’s a ****ing traitor. He’s also a ****ing liar, I don’t trust a damn thing he says about policy anything. Muslim ban! Didn’t ban Muslims, at all. Build the wall! Less than 9 miles of new wall built. Lock her up! Hillary Clinton is free.

Hell, he told us he’d cut our taxes, but he raised my taxes and, because he’s a greedy shitlicker, his “tax cut” bill will raise our taxes again in 2025.

But yeah, he’s a ****ing traitor. Scum of the earth stole our national security secrets and left them strewn about in his shitty country club’s bathroom. ****er lied about having them and tried to keep them from us while our enemies spies wander around Mar-A-Lago. The piece of shit launched an attack on our congress as part of his failed coup. He was impeached twice, once because he tried to use the office of the president, OUR office where he served US, to pressure foreigners so they will attack Americans.

There’s nothing that piece of rancid shit could do to convince me he’s worth voting for. No major presidential candidate holds a candle to how awful that loser is.

...

What I think that means if if you can't question the results, you should ban elections. Granted, I'm only taking it this way because I know who Trump is. Could have been a one-liner, but it did draw applause.

I'm not disputing you on the abortion thing (Because then it's murder), but he seemed intent on saying that Democrats allow abortion on the day of birth. So he wants to ban it. So I guess the revelation here is that he believes that this is a thing?
Reinstating the family separation policy Define what this is or what you mean. Families should not be separated at the border.

Yeah, I should have said "Family Separation at the border."

Yes, he was vague in this. This is not me simplifying it more than it needs to be.

Enforcing the United States' borders We already do, have your heard of border control? You can't just drive your car into the US from Mexico without going through checkpoints.

The exact quote was "A country has to have borders."

By the way, @Davin, thank you for a wonderful, thoughtful reply :)

I don't believe there are any states where it is legal -- again, I think it's possibly more of a revelation that he believes that it is legal in some "liberal" states. I specifically believe he is referring to "partial birth abortions," and or referring to Kermit Gosnell-like figures in specific.

He needs to get his facts straight.

There is no such thing as a "post-birth abortion." The very term contradicts itself.

There is no state where infanticide is legal.

This is alarmist fearmongering meant to drum up voters by promoting "feel good" legislation that isn't necessary. If the man wants to present a platform it needs to be based in common sense and reality or it can't be taken seriously.

Totally agree with you on that. I'm just reporting on what he said. Good critical analysis though :)

NONE OF THEM. trump has one policy and one goal. To punish his enemies and rule the country as an autocratic dictator. PERIOD.

@Jessie C, as much as it seems that way, I'm not really good at predicting the future or reading between the lines.

That said, here's my reading of him. While I do agree with your opinion on punishing his enemies, I don't see him as an autocrat for the simple reason that he has no interest in actually -running- the country. He wants to win. And if/when he wins the second time, he'll have no more winning to do. This gives him less incentive to stay in office. If he does stay in office, I see him more as a Silvio Berlusconi type than someone like in Venezuela or China, where they actually need to have an active hand in running the government. His dream occupation would probably be to be a Mafia Don/Capo-type figure rather than being someone obsessed with running the country.

He had 4 years he failed at all of the above except for the war in Ukraine where he will be a disaster and pardoning his traitorous cult followers who should never be pardoned because it happened after he suffered the greatest election defeat in history (using his benchmarks)

None of these are policies. It just shows how little Trump understands how things work.

Title 42 is not an immigration policy, and you can't just reinstate it anytime you want. He would not have the legal authority to even do that.

There is no defendant trump policy I look at other than his attempt to illegally remain in office.

Let's not forget the number 1 reason he want to win...so he can PARDON his sorry ass and stay out of jail. IF he wins, and I don't believe he will, he will trash this country for not bowing down to him. He will allow the freaks like MTG to take the reigns so he can devote another 4 years to golf, count on it.

Elections are handled at the state level. The federal government doesn't have the authority to require voter ID's.

Trump's philosophy when it comes to the Constitution is also weird (and I'm talking about legislation, etc. - not Jan 6th for purposes of this comment) … he has no problem playing within the lines and a little bit out of bounds of the Constitution as long as he can get what he wants done. Even his executive orders sorta played by the rules because he put expiration dates on them so they would expire by the time a court ruled on them (with an exception of a handful of them).

But, at the same time, if he was going to overtly flout the Constitution, the time to have done that was in January 2017. If you looked at the polls then, had an election been held that month, he would have won over 400+ electoral votes. That month was by far his most popular. I'm just amazed that he was able to waste such political capital over 4 years to the point where losing was even a possibility.

So Trump's "policies" in most items you would say are actually more of a "wish list." Do I have that right?

Of this, I am fine with showing ID to vote and enforcing our borders. Other than that, it is a collect of policies that are either stupid or just cruel.
