In an effort to put this matter to rest, I though a simple poll on which was more dangerous would be a good way to spurr discussion.

What say ye, good folks DP? Are the covid vaccines more dangerous than covid? Is covid more dangerous than the covid vaccines?

Please bring your sources.

Er............................. you are asking for trouble, because there ARE anti-vaxx sources out there. Mind you they are from bunk science sites and include a lot of conspiracy theories, but since you asked for sources, some of our resident anti-vaxxers will still post their favorite sources.
 
Vaccines cause autism. They contain chips. They change your DNA. Besides, ONLY old people die from Covid, who cares about them?
 
Vaccines mess with you immune system and there's risks associated with vaccines. I'd rather get covid and build up natural immunity that will carry me throughout my life.
 
It depends.

From what I've read (I don't have any sources handy) if you are an old person, covid is more dangerous than the vaccine. If you are a young person, the vaccine is more dangerous.
 
Only two decisions are short sighted.

The vaccine is favorable to use if a persons body would be harmed by the side effects of the virus.. People who are already not healthy and near the end of life.

It is favorable not to vaccinate people who have good immune systems if they would weather it well. The reason is there are too many possible side effects that are permanent.

There is no natural immunity from covid to carry you throughout your life.

Yes. Old people with health problems are at higher risk. Much higher risk. Only kids dying from covid also had health problems.

The answer to choose depends on the person. It is not an either or question for the masses. It depends on the individual.

The Covid vaccine, like all other approved vaccines, needs no defense. This whole argument is stupid. The fact that such a poll even exists is disheartening. I'm outa here.
 
Don't know. We still don't have very good data about the vaccines IMO. Maybe in few years we will. Nor about having it multiple times although it appears those that have been vaccinated catch it more often. But our data is pretty bad.
 
To who? Healthy children? Healthy teens? Healthy adults? Morbidly obese people? People with multiple comorbid ailments? To the seniorist of citizens?

Yes. The individual. You cannot use it as a blanket and treat everyone or not treat everyone. The danger of both the cure and the vaccine vary with the person in receipt of it.

Sorry that I do not limit myself to a black and white thought process. I think across the spectrum instead of in monochrome..
