there are no books that are factual that will claim that murderers have not ever been stopped by good guys with guns. There are dozens of cases where murderers have been stopped including that shooting in a church in the last year and the Colorado shooting several years ago.

here's the deal-everything objectively harmful that can be done with a firearm is already illegal, and in some cases, can subject you to a severe civil verdict on top of a criminal verdict. Liberals often don't want to enforce those laws because they almost only impact actual criminals-rather than the political enemies of liberals-honest gun owners. So they want to pass laws that CRIMINALIZE currently LEGAL behavior that harms NO ONE

1) such as being able to buy semi auto rifles or normal capacity magazines

2) being able to buy more than one handgun in a month

I can because that is yet another stupid generalization. Home security systems are great-assuming the police can be there before someone can shoot or stab you. and I can defeat a deadbolt lock on a door in the time it takes to shoot the lock with a heavy caliber handgun

Access to firearms moves the crime to another location, and that's where a lot of people get their localized 'gun reduce crime' statistical evidence, but the crime still occurs somewhere, it doesn't evaporate. The would-be perp just looks for easier targets in a better 'hunting ground'; he's still of a criminal mind and he's still going to commit his acts against someone.
