This is truly a historic thread. In it NavyPride has admitted to being partisan twice (posts #102 and #107), a conservative partisan once (post # 107) and a supporter of right wing radicals once (post # 123). It would be nice if others could take his lead and honestly admit their biases, rather than hiding behind rhetoric.

NavyPride I salute you.

Isn't this unfiltered, unabashed honesty beautiful? It brings a tear to my eye....

hmmmmmmmm How did Reagan and Bush get elected twice?

Money, Money, Money, Fake election returns in Florida. Don't forget that 1 day after 911, it was published in all major news papers, I have a copy of the Article, that Bush had in fact lost the election in florida. This was reported by the Congressional committee that investigated the contriversial election in florida. Bush was made president by the supreme court not the Voters. Bush never had enough electoral votes to be president in the first election. This was all over the news. Gore and patriotic folks like me supported Bush, and wished him well in the fight against terrorist, until he forgot what he was doing, invaded Iraq, and sold out to the multinational oil companies and forgot the American people.
Corporate Money, and thousand of lies repeated over and over until some folks forgot and became confused., it is an old psychological ploy which I was taught in my College Psyche and political science Courses. It worked for Hitler, Mussolini, Bismark, FDR, and many others here and abroad. The result is not always bad, but it was bad when used by Bush, Hitler, Mussolini, and Idi Amin.

Navy, I voted for Reagan the first time. Why did right wing radicals have to steal the name, Republican, and dishonor the traditions of good American conservatives.

I usually vote Republican and am proud of it:confused: The last time I voted for a dem for prez was LBJ in 1964, the biggest mistake I ever made.........

As far as you go the only Republican you would vote for would be Lincoln Chaffee....:rofl

I think its kinda funny that you love to condemn others on these boards for not admitting that they are liberal.....yet you have an equally hard time admitting that you are a Republican. Hey Navy.....I'd be ashamed to. But don't be a hypocrite. The proof is in the pudding.

One always needs to remember that Right Wing Radicals never take responsibility for their own actions. So Foley's sexual perversions will be blamed on Democrats, and Clinton, by Limbaugh, Bush and Cheney.

Remember Right Wing Radicals never take responsibility for their errors, or we would already be home from Irag and fighting the war on terror, instead of creating terrorists.

Idiotic, as always. :applaud

1) Not once has any conservative blamed the Foley scandal on liberals. All we've done is point out that their outrage doesn't make any sense.

2) Retreating from terrorists, as you historically illiterate lefties think is so wise, creates terrorists too. Clinton proved that with his retreat from Al Queda in Somalia and his 8-year non-response to Al queda.

Here are the 5 possible reasons liberals could logically be objecting to Hastert:

1) We care so much about children that Hastert should have been psychic enough to launch an investigation?

Proof that's not true:

-Megan's Law-against
-Jessica's Law-against
-sex offender registration-liberals have taken every single state to court to overturn them
-NAMBLA-liberals defend them free of charge
-"Rape and escape" manual-liberals call it "free speech" rather than accessory to child rape like the law does.
-the right of 12 year old boys to sleep with men-you people illiterately call that a constitutional right in court

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/m...boy-daily.html

2) Democrats care so much about ethics that Hastert should have been psychic enough to launch an investigation?

Proof that's not true:

-When Newt sought to launch an investigation into numerous allegations of sexual misconduct on Clinton, liberals visciously smeared him out of office.

-Gerry Studds (D).

-Barney Frank (D).

-Mel Reynolds (D).

3) Hastert should have known that since Foley was gay, he can't be trusted to be around children.

That would contradict the left's hysteria against the Boy Scouts for not wanting to let gay men walk off into the woods with little boys alone.

4) Democrats just want to win and couldn't care less about kids, ethics, or truth.
Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

5) Democrats cannot form a coherent, consistent, literate argument in general.

Maybe that too.

No really, I want one of you liberals to reconcile the fact that your assertions on the Foley matter directly contradict the facts of the case.

I don't care if you believe me or not.........I am and Independent who usually votes Republican because that party is closer to my political beliefs but I did vote for JFK and LBJ......I also voted for Senator "Scoop" Jackson 2 times here in Washington state and my local Congressman is a democrat by the name of Norm Dicks and I have voted for him 5 times.......I don't agree with him much on social issues but he is strong on defense and on the war on terror so he gets my vote.........

Who was the ignoramus who posed this poll question?

Foley is over 21, is presumably reasonably sane (apart from this desire he has to enter his Penis into the Anal passage of members of his own sex).
So naturally he is responsible for his own actions.
How could it be anything or anyone else?

That would be my buddy hips........

I don't think its about entering his penis in a person of legal age......Its about him being a gay pedophile and wanting to put his penis in the anus of a child......

The poll question, is, in fact, sarcastic; although I wouldn't expect you to understand that or go out of your way to find that out.

I'm sorry that you don't understand sarcasm when you read it.

Carry on....

He should take full responsibility for his own actions. He ought to come out from hiding in the swanky rehab center he is now in and face the piper. I think they are all excuses anyway. People like to blame things/people when they get into trouble and that is what he did just as sure as the world.

He ought to look to the example of McGreevey when he admitted his affairs with men. The guy didnt lie, didnt hide and took full responisibility for his actions. He took the cameras and difficult questions head on like a man.

Foleys a snake.

I agree, in my rougher days of trouble I was sent to a program once where they told me I couldn't use alcohal as an exuse for my fighting. The reason being I made the decision to drink knowing that it would impare my judjement. I'm not an alcohalic, but I don't think Foley is either.

I don't get what's going on with this stuff. First did Foley even have sex with an underage person?

Anyway assuming Foley did actually commit some sort of crime he is to blame. However I do think the dems have pushed for this situation to be a circus which may well bite them in the arse in the end. Foley is gone now so why is this such a big deal? If a priest molested Foley then that sucks. But it's not an excuse for him molesting children, if that is in fact what he did. Personally I think it's much to do about nothing.

It is claimed that Foley is a sexual preditor... Some of the emails suggest that he was going to meet with a 16 year old page.

As much as democrats push to make this and election issue they are failing...........They have got about mileage as they are going to get out of this.........The only problem where it might be the slightest issue is Illinois and Florida and I doubt even there come election time..

Eh, who cares? The damage is done.

Sure wish the news would shut up about it though. Even Fox is going on and on and on and on...

Obviously Navy....you continue to live in a world....other than this one. Though the Foley Fiasco of 2006 is relatively tame in comparison to many other issues, it has had an effect on the Core of Republican Base Voters.....How big an effect is yet to be seen, but it is there.

"WASHINGTON — A Capitol Hill sex scandal has reinforced public doubts about Republican leadership and pushed Democrats to a huge lead in the race for control of Congress four weeks before Election Day, the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows.

Democrats had a 23-point lead over Republicans in every group of people questioned — likely voters, registered voters and adults — on which party's House candidate would get their vote. That's double the lead Republicans had a month before they seized control of Congress in 1994 and the Democrats' largest advantage among registered voters since 1978."

Yes...I know you dont believe in Polls....today

It would seem this issue has tilted the religious right vote somewhat....and to be honest that is the majority of what is left of the republican base. Just be happy the Democrats suck so badly at politics they arent using this to full advantage....and prey they dont figure out how.

I don't care what the left wing paper USA today writes..........I associate with a crowd of Conservatives and what has happened has nothing to do with our congress people............

As far as the polls go................I or none of my friends all Conservatives have never been polled........I wonder why that is?
