Congressman Scalise shot. A plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan. Violent protesters in the Capitol carrying zip-ties. An armed man arrested outside the family home of Justice Kavanaugh. The Speaker’s 82 year-old husband beaten with a hammer.

This is heading to a place not unlike the assassination era of the 1960’s.

Nowhere good. And fast.

Not anywhere I wanna be, although it's good for business. I've had a dozen phone calls this afternoon alone and will likely sign contracts with most of them.

Much worse. It is Trump and the Republican Party causing the violence.

I don't have objective facts to compare but wonder if the frequency of events you mentioned are really out of the norm? At least as to the frequency of politically motivated violence perpetrated by one or a few individuals? The 1/6 event has no real historical comparison.

Interesting question though I doubt this is going to go well.

Welcome to the good ole U.S. of A (for anarchy).

Our Attorney General has given a pass to Trump's violent coup attempt. Sadly, this is the expected consequence.

Wait, you're a greedy capitalist? LOL, I'm glad you are able to profit from this situation, but try not to exploit your workers too much.

Sadly it is easier for the minority to destroy then it is for the majority to build.

Volatile partisan rhetoric is the catalyst that stirs the most disturbed in our society. While it's intended to inflame the rank-and-file to mobilize into action, it has the unintended consequences of awakening the nutters. The blame lies entirely upon politicians, lawyers, and the media.

My workers are very well paid. They have to be in this line of work.

^^^ part of the problem.
Not really, no. The RWNJ's have been working overtime promoting violence for the last few years and it's coming home to roost. Yes, you were careful in your OP to present cases as if it was equal and I let that slide, but that is actually completely false. The right is responsible for far more violence than the left. Hell these days the right is outperforming the Muslim extremists. At least they haven't tried to take over the Capitol and overthrow the government.

In more recent years, DePape has embraced the false claims that the November 2020 election was stolen, reposting on Facebook — in an account since removed from the platform — bogus claims by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and others associated with the campaign

As obvious as the nose on your face.

Reagan democrats, actually racist democrats and the TFG "audition" as birther-in-chief were two of the more obvious warn up acts.

The cat is out of the bag.
