When Megyn Kelly Isn't Moderating A Debate

I've said this once, and I'll say it again, Mrs. Kelly is the female version of Tim Russert, fair, extremely well informed, and prepared. Anyone that actually watches her knows she gives it to republicans as much if not more than the other more liberal networks.

True story!

Tim-

tim russert wasn't very good

but in this kind of forum, kelly was a fair moderator

My favorite numbers.

Finale for John ' the Fox destroyer' Stewart's last show- 3 million.
The GOP debate -24 million.

How hard must Roger Ailes be laughing.

almost as hard as wea ll are at phonies like pbrauer pretending to care about fairness of the moderators .

I seriously doubt Roger Ailes was laughing when Donald went to CNN

Hi, welcome to Completely Irrelevant Arguments Bar and Grill. Your table is ready.

Media Matters and their hyperbole...

Does anyone take them seriously?
Agreed. Does question why any reasonable person would take them seriously.
I have no problem with Chris Wallace or Bret Baier moderating the debate; they are practicing their current profession as journalists. But Megyn Kelly is a different story, she is a commentator who doesn't report the news, she's on the opinion of Fox "News.".

GOP Debate Moderator Megyn Kelly Has Long History Of Offensive, Out-Of-Touch Comments About Minorities

Pete's just channeling MediaMatters War on Fox again (which MM lost BTW).

You have no freaken idea what you're talking about. Critisizing Fox 'News' had nothing whatsoever with their war on Fox 'News'. It was about knocking Glenn Beck off their programming by informing his adverizers what he was saying about George Soros and the Nazis. IT WORKED.

"Puppet master": Beck's attacks on Soros are steeped in anti-Semitic stereotypes

While I don't agree with using anti-Semitic nor Nazi remarks, you don't convince very many people about anything using such, I would agree that Soros is behind a great unsavory many things pulling very many strings.

George Soros - Discover the Networks

Of course, I imagine that you'll dismiss the source out of hand (as you do with any other sources that disagree with MediaMaters), but I'd much rather that each point be factually defeated, or doesn't MediaMatters issue talking points at that level?

Sigh. How little you understand. Trump's notoriety is good for all broadcasters.
Sigh. How little you understand. Trump's notoriety is not good at a debate. But you see (or maybe not) he sucked all energy out of of the debate, but Ailes didn't care because he wanted the top ratings for a debate.

Sorry I don't read David Horowitz crap anymore. Perhaps you can say what those unsavory things George Soros has done.

You have got to expand your horizons beyond what MediaMatters tells you. Again, these guys have a vested interest in ripping down anything FoxNews no matter how much praise they get elsewhere for a decent Republican debate that challenged the participants to match the rhetoric to the experience, or match the rhetoric to intention. Of course Megyn Kelly does some commentary, no one is hiding that. You may not agree with her but that does not mean that she should stop commentating to her viewership, just as MediaMatters commentates to you.

...and, Santa Clause is white, goddammit.

The term "debate" has always been misleading. "Candidate forum" is more accurate. It doesn't matter what Trump did or did not do. That's a GOP issue, not a network issue.

Dismissal without substance. I knew that you would.

Perhaps you can tell me where Horowitz is wrong? Silence would be nothing more than tacit acceptance that he isn't.

Perhaps you can tell me where Horowitz is correct. We can both make the claim. Stuff it.

You're argument is silly.

I strongly disagree with your assessment of Tim Russert.

then read the cited article; it is on point ... a difficulty russert frequently had:
Russert's goal isn't to inform his audience. He's there to "make news"—to get his guest to say something embarrassing that lands in the next day's papers or on the NBC Nightly News. The politicians, in turn, go on the show determined not to make news.

The Unbearable Inanity of Tim Russert - Yglesias

i have no reason to doubt he was a good father, son, family man, and media team leader. but as a moderator, he was only mediocre

Megyn does it five times a week, she takes one day off for a debate and all of sudden she's a journalist.

MSLSD has been having Rachel Maddow "anchor" their election night shows for years.

Must you use childish names, in all seriousness you are not worth my time. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her or Megan Kelly anchoring election coverage. bye

So what exactly are the requirements for a debate moderator and who made the rules?

Let me take a wild guess and say that you voted for the community organizer.

George Stephanopolous... hatchet-man for Clinton, still a hatchet-man for the Party of Socialists (POS)... did I hear you or any socialist complain about him ...LOL... moderating... LOL... a debate?

If he is so bad, why did so many Republican candidates interview with him?
