Rupert Murdoch and ................... Hillary Clinton?????? What the $@&$#(), you say?

Yup, it appears the man who built a media empire on bashing the Clintons is now helping Hillary to raise funds. Who would have thunk it?

On the other hand, Hillary is just as much of a partywhore as any Republican (and Democrat too), so she can be bought just as easily as the next public official. Murdoch, on the other hand, is hedging no bets. Wherever he can buy his representation from, whether it be a Republican or Democrat, someone is always on his shopping list.

The CT in me tells me this makes perfect sense. If they want Hillary to be president they will use Fox News to make it happen. Also don't be surprised if you start hearing Bill Clinton's name to be the next head of the U.N. How convient would that be for them?

Murdoch has never been a conservative.. he has been a pragmatist (I think thats whats its called in english :2razz: ).

The Clinton administration was after him legally because of his media empire, so he went after Clinton. He supported the conservatives and let his channel funnel thier propoganda. It worked, probally better than he anticipated.

In the UK he has Sky News, the sister news channel of Fox News (and a channel he started before Fox News). However other than being owned by the same man, the channels are like night and day. Sky News is at best a tad pro Blair, but regulations keep news channels from going totaly wacko bias. And let me remind you.. Blair is a closet communist.. well socialist.

In Asia, he sleeps with the Chinese goverment, so to promote his channels there as he sees China as the next big market.

He does whatever he sees as good for his company. If he sees the future in the conservative party in the UK, then I bet he will switch to them in a heart beat. If he sees Hillary or someone else as the future of US politics, then he will switch sides in a heart beat. If the conservatives suddenly goes after one of his companies.. then watch his wrath.

If you look at his history, then such actions are common and very diliberate. Such actions have made him the global media gaint that he is.

1) Clinton didnt go after Murdoch. In fact, Clinton's Telecommunications Act was responsible for just about all the media here in the US ending up in the hands of a few corporations.

2) However, on Murdoch's philosophy, you are correct. If he can make a buck, that is what he will do. Ideology plays no part. Here in Houston, he bought the Houston Post and turned it into a left-leaning tabloid, then when he saw that a Liberal newspaper would not be a moneymaker here in Texas, he sold it to the Houston chronicle, which shut it down. Today, there is only one paper in Houston because of Murdoch.
