We hear a lot from righties about how the world thinks America is a laughingstock under Biden but "respected" it under Trump.

Post your global impressions of Trump here, big baby balloons and all.

The Japanese tag line reads : "If president Trump is restored, this is how the world will change..."

The main splash "MoshTra" might be a play on the sound of the movie monster "Mothra" using "if" and the first two letters of "Trump" - that bit is just my guess.

It doesn't matter what the world thinks of Trump. If he is President, they will HAVE TO deal with him on America First term...whether they like it or not.

btw, those Germans weren't laughing when they found themselves freezing when those Russian sanctions kicked in. Hell, they even had to fire up some coal burning power plants.

It does matter what the world thinks of him though.

If they think he's a complete joke they're less likely to start talks with the US.
Trump is super unpopular in ther UK and as such the UK government will have as little to do with him as they can.

Negotiations will take place the same as always with both sides giving and taking what they can Trump won't matter as he'll be out of power in 4 years at most if he isn't banged up in prison.

The world can simply wait 4 years for someone less shit to come into office.

As Trump Withdraws America from the World, Xi’s China Takes Advantage

The erosion of American leadership under President Trump is opening opportunities for China to expand its global influence—and the United States and Europe need to wake up to the threat.

As President Trump has withdrawn or damaged U.S. leadership around the world, China has seized opportunities—from Asia to Europe to the Middle East—to advance its own interests. So far, in many of these cases, China’s actions are undermining the interests of the United States and Europe, along with aspects of the global system of rules and norms that the United States and Europe believe should not change—such as respect for human rights and the peaceful resolutions of disputes—even if China wishes to transform them.

More generally, while China’s rise will naturally shape the global system, the questions that the United States and Europe must be focused on are how China is using its newfound influence and whether that influence might undermine U.S. and European interests. As the United States and Europe increasingly look inward, the trans-Atlantic allies must remember that they have strong shared interests in continuing to advocate for rules-based, peaceful approaches to global challenges and in working together to push back against damaging Chinese influence where necessary.

No, it does matter what the world thinks. America First Trump voters are woefully ignorant in their isolationist world view. They fail to understand that that America's greatness is substantially rooted in the influence we have with our friends and allies; especially in the NATO pact. If the "followers" do not respect the "leaders", the leaders have far less influence. This would mean US power (and credibility) is substantially diminished, which comprises US security throughout the world.

No, what the world thinks of the American president is very important to American stature, its influence, its power, its greatness.

I have friends from Norway. They ask "What is wrong with so many Americans? The guy is a terrible hunan being. No one should support him."
I traveled to Europe a lot during the GW Bush administration. I remember many late night beers with my German and British colleagues defending "what is America thinking" in letting Cheney/Rumsfeld run the country (they saw GW as weak). I can not image the same conversations on Trump.

You could not be more wrong. But we know what they think. If we choose to reelect him, that alone will damage us again - as it did the first time.

The world sees trump as the dangerous clown he is, and yes, it matters very much.

Ditto that with friends in France. And relatives in Germany.

Trump was bringing China to economic heel. By committing election fraud and denying Trump his second term, the Trump haters brought about China's continuing rise in power.

Trump was bringing China to economic heel.
OMG. Most economists will tell you his trade war of choice only harmed Americans and benefitted China. Its like you live on an entirely different planet.

By committing election fraud...
The continuing big lie...

There was no election fraud. Trump lost. Get over it.

America First is not about isolationism.

They fail to understand that that America's greatness is substantially rooted in the influence we have with our friends and allies; especially in the NATO pact.
Trump wasn't about military influence. He rejected that UniParty preference.

If the "followers" do not respect the "leaders", the leaders have far less influence. This would mean US power (and credibility) is substantially diminished, which comprises US security throughout the world.
Trump was always about economic power being used for America first. That is what he was using to ensure US security around the world.

Oh, for sure, the "American president" is very important...but we aren't talking about American Presidents. We are talking about one particular American President.

~snipped the irrelevance~

Wrong, the entire world knows it's wrong. Trump is terrible for Americas foreign relations, and our economy because the economy of the future will depend on immigration and he doesn't have the guts to stand up to his base about it.

A kiss ass doesn't make a good president, and his base is ignorant as hell, but he'll follow their crying regardless.

Bullshit
Trump’s fighting with China increased import tariffs on American goods, which killed Chinese sales of American goods.
American farmers were so economically devastated that Trump gave them $12 billion dollars to stave off bankruptcies.
The increased cost of Chinese goods to US consumers became more expensive for American people.
Trump ****ed up that entire trade structure and guest American consumers.
All Trump did was **** Americans.

Bullshit.
America First is the resurgence of White Power racism in the United States.

The CPI didn't increase during that time. It remained just as low as it had been before Trump's tariffs. And no, consumers didn't stop buying Chinese goods. The price of Chinese goods didn't increase.

And the actions by the Chinese that kept Americans buying their products meant that the money the tariffs raised was paid for by the Chinese. That means that the money given to the American farmers was paid for by the Chinese.

Sorry. You are simply wrong about all of it.
