What should the judge do to stop Trump from mumbling under his breathe to prospective jurors?

Once again Trump mumbled something under his breathe loud enough at one of the jurors and though this juror was not one chosen, the judge had to again admonish his lawyers for the action. This is not a free speech issue as it happens in a court of law, although I am sure some of you will say he has the right to do so. To be honest if I were the judge I would either put him in a nearby room and have him watch via cameras with his sound muted or have him gaged and stay in the court. I have seen this happen in some court cases on TV. What would you do?

If you were the judge he'd already be convicted and in jail. Why wait for a jury to potentially make the wrong decision?

Trump needs to be gagged.

With the warning he was given a few days ago, if he in fact violated that warning I would go with option A- he's removed but not freed. He can watch from another room.
And I would remove him while the jury was present, so they know why he is no longer in the room for that day.
Let him try again tomorrow.

I'd tell the defense attorneys to have the boss of the Secret Service detail in court tomorrow morning.

Then I'd give him instructions to go back to the courtroom holding cell and determine what protection requirements he needs to include for the defendant.

Then I would ask the defendant if he understands that the next time he does that, he'll be spending the rest of that court day in that cell. And I'd make sure he said it loud enough that everyone could hear.

Put him in the corner facing the wall so the jury doesn't have to see his ugly smirking mug, kinda like you do with a disruptive kindergartener.

If that doesn't work, remove him to a cell outside of the courtroom until he learns to follow the rules.

Agreed. Just like back in grade school where his emotional maturity still resides.

100% this. He can watch from CCTV and bellyache out of earshot of the potential jurors. Anyone that thinks he is not trying to intimate them is lying to themselves.
I guess the real question to the folks lying to themselves, why is DJT trying to intimidate jurors that will ultimately determine his guilt or innocence?
Methinks someone is trying for a mis-trial. Wonder why that is? For someone so "innocent" he is telegraphing a lot of guilty vibes.

You'd be good with some high-level gangster doing that, muttering sotto voce, to prospective jurors?
And you pretend to favour neutrality in the courts.
There's a real-life event being discussed here and your made-up bullshit is just an attempt to derail it.
Or, as I like to say, another rightist making up stupid shit so he can tell us how stupid his made-up shit is.

I swear, the arguments from Righties become lamer and lamer by the day. "if you, if you, if you". You know MOST of us go by the evidence, so if we were on the jury that is how we would judge Trump. Maybe take a look at yourself and your biases before you go around with "if you" arguments. I mean seriously.

First thing I would do is ask the prospective juror what it was Trump said.

C'mon people! You think this judge, or any judge, has never dealt with disruptive defendants before? They know how to deal with them. The only question is, will the judge make unreasonable exceptions in this particular case?

I would the judge to say "These are the consequences if your client speaks out of order again: He will be removed from the courtroom to view the proceedings via CCTV. He will be held in contempt. If he returns to this courtroom and disrupts again, he will be returned to the holding cell for the duration of the trial. Please convey this to your client and make sure he understands."

The judge should do both of these things and make sure Trump understands that jail is an option and let him think about it while in time out.

Would love to hear some Trumpers chime in on this. Assume Trumps is/was muttering during questioning of jurors, and Judge told him to stop- what do you do next time he does it? Warn him again but say this time you really mean it? Put him on double secret probation?

Yes.

I remember when some of the Chicago Seven were bound and gagged in the courtroom during their trials.

Trump has been warned to stop this, and any repetition of it is contempt of court, which should trigger suitable penalties.

Great deflection.

Can't answer, or won't answer?
Does Trump not have to follow the rules of the court because he has 1st amendment rights to do and say what he pleases?
