I call BS on that. You are telling my that it 90,000$ per election cycle just to have polling place workers spend a extra two or three seconds to ask for ID, wait another few seconds for someone to pull out their ID/driver's license and another few more seconds to see if the photo on the ID matches the person holding the ID and that the names match?

It would definitely slow down election workers.That means hiring additional personnel in order that all voters get processed expeditiously.

No it wouldn't. Again it does not take but a few extra seconds to ask for ID and for someone to pull their ID out. It probably wouldn't cost anything to take a black magic marker and write on a piece of paper please have your IDs/Driver's license ready and take some scotch tape and tape that sign to the door to speed things up even more.
Voters already have to wait in many locations, especially on heavy-turnout elections.

And why bother with trying to do voting fraud on a voter by voter basis? That seems exceedingly inefficent. You could spend hours to register 500 people....or a minute to hack the machine and change 10,000 votes.

Seems easier (and cheaper) just to tamper with the machine.

Again you statement is idiotic. First of all ballots are anonymous so you can not prove fraud has or has not occurred.And it is idiotic to wait until something bad has happened before taking counter measures. If banks used your logic then they wouldn't get locks,safes and security cameras or hire guards until after they've been robbed and homeowners wouldn't bother locking their doors and windows until after they've been robbed blind. ID checks and many other things are a small price to pay to ensure that fraud does not happen.

Oklahoma has paper ballots that are read electronically, calculated electronically, and the results fed from county election boards to the state election board electronically. There is not any system which cannot be corrupted. Whatever safeguards are put in place, there is someone who will figure out a way around them.

I show my ID and had to register to vote. So I dont see where this hooplah is coming from.

The only thing that's idiotic is this insistence about something that apparently cant be proved or disproved. You're asking us to take it on faith that there's this rash of voter fraud out there AND you're asking us to back the expenditure of resources to combat it when you cant give us ANYTHING to suggest it's even THERE!

Again you can not prove fraud with anonymous paper ballots. So it is moronic to demand proof that fraud is indeed happening and it is moronic to not make it less susceptible to fraud seeing how you can not prove whether or not fraud has happened. Do you leave you home and car unlocked just because you have yet to be robbed? Do you wait until something comes up stolen before you secure your belongings?

It only makes sense that any extra step will require more time. Then there is the time explaining to people WHAT IS a valid ID, and explaining to them why they have to present it even if the election workers recognize them. Election workers are there to serve voters and try to make sure every qualified voter gets to vote. I've been doing it for 35 years, so I know a little about it.




You have not dealt with the public very much if you think posting a mere sign guarantees compliance.

At least twice every other year. Bigger precincts may be busy with less than the heavy-turnout.

Your act like its going to take 3 or four minutes to ask each person to show and polling place worker to look at a ID or that most voters are not going to have their ID present to speed things up.

Post a sign. The sign could say what are valid forms of ID and that it is required by state law. When registering new voters they can be informed that they will be required to present a ID.

Election workers are there to serve voters and try to make sure every qualified voter gets to vote. I've been doing it for 35 years, so I know a little about it.

Considering the fact the majority of voters voted for this I am sure that huge vast majority of Oklahomans will comply , minus a few retards and attention whores trying to start some ****. If voting is really that important to them then they will bring their state ID or driver's license.


I have worked at a airport parking garage before I know people do not pay attention to signs. However you sitting in a chair at a polling place can easily point to a sign.

Look, I don't know exactly how much extra time it will take. I only know it WILL take EXTRA time. I would think the state officials would be able to calculate that. They would then know how many extra workers it will take to process the voters. Then they can calculate how much extra it will cost. I have no reason to question their numbers of $90,000 for 6 elections. That would only be $15,000 per election, and paying workers $100 a day would only be 150 extra workers.

You can't prove there is not voter fraud. You are asking that we take it on faith that there is not.
Why would you be against showing ID? The extra money it would cost is BS. People could have their ID ready. There is no need that it should cost anything.
