Bad drivers really get my goat. If you can believe it, I actually swore and gestured(not that gesture) at one less than a week ago. But Immediately I felt bad and hoped they didn't hear me. I have done stupid things behind the wheel as well, intentionally, recklessly, and accidentally. Republicans are a bit mixed bag of people I can't judge too harshly overall, I must take individual temperatures.

Morals, principles, self driving ethics, whatever they want to be called, I agree. People that need a group to feel certain in their actions. But I feel that is a behavior that can be unlearned, and principles, morals, ethics taught.

I am not discounting exceptions to the rules, there are some pyschopaths and such that never learned, but even they are not all unreachable.

We also should not be so quick to judge, no matter how well we think we know someone. It took me a lot of self control not to deconstruct your post and point out all the ways it could be better. But then I'd be judging too. I prefer the one you sent me, and speaking for myself with compassion not anger. If I say nothing when it bothers me, after saying it to him, I am a hypocrite.

It was a vote for national affairs for me, by a wide margin. It’s simple- I want to live my life in these United States with just a shred of freedom from the federal government. You know, with a little bit of autopilot where the precedents and cultural norms of the country are a given and not turned upside down every minute of every day. I don’t need some political cause to dominate what I’m experiencing in my day to day life like the red hat wearing sycophants do.

When I turn on the news on my television or radio, I’d like the lead stories not to be of whatever Trump is doing or saying on his God-awful social media platform, with biased media outlets like Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax running cover for this administration’s transgressions.

I’m tired of the constant flow of chaos out of Washington, and the Republicans in Congress in lock step with the Supreme Court by abdicating their oaths and going along with Trump because they’re cowards.

Change isn’t necessarily a good thing, and that’s certainly being proven by the idiots in Washington right now.

Living nearby, I usually make about three days worth of trips down there to experience it all, from the food to the exhibits to the farm animals. Unfortunately, a lot of the nation’s politicians think it’s necessary that they make an appearance.

I wish these self-important morons would just stay away, especially in a non-election year. Their very presence, to remind everybody of the politics that people are at the Iowa State Fair to escape, isn’t welcome.
