Because the other thread was closed for review, and I assume this was because the OP used a specific picture of a member of this website, they closed it. So, if anyone wants to continue the conversation here, maybe this is legit since Im referring to pictures in general and not someone on this website.

But what makes a picture racist? If I posted a picture of someone in blackface...…...is that picture racist? What if I posted that picture because someone wanted an example of what blackface looks like, and Im a black man? What if Im writing a magazine, newspaper, wiki on blackface and I use that picture as an example to show the readers what it is?

I think it comes down to the intent of the person who's posting the picture and the context in which they are using it. And I admit that's very difficult to do.

This meme is a very good example of racism. Either you can spot the racism or you can't, and if you can't, you're a racist.

Let me make the question in the OP simpler. What he's asking is, can a picture be racist.
