What kind of election year do you think 2026 will be ?

I voted "very light" Democratic year because some of Trump's idiots will realize 2 Dolls Donnie has made their lives far worse and some will still believe his BS and blame it on anything other than him. This is the group that will believe he is their savior while he pisses on them.

I'm waiting to see if it's a free and fair election. Once in charge, authoritarians don't like to lose.
I'm not really worried about the 2026 election. It is the 2028 presidential election that I'm really worried about.

Strong Dem gains in the House and states, lesser (or possibly no) Dem gains in the Senate. The out-party usually gains in midterm elections, and I don't see much reason to think this time will be an exception.

The problem for Dems is that there just aren't that many winnable Senate seats for them that they don't already control, so unless they're willing to actually appeal to a broader pool of voters they are going to struggle in the Senate.
