I don't like to box myself into some group, but I don't think I could be more libertarian if I tried.
Heh. If you still believe that some form of government is necessary to protect your rights, you still have a little more room to go.
I've always thought "Very moderate" was just another term for "I just don't give a damn".
Generally, I see the "Very moderates" as people who don't care about politics.
Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 30%.
No surprises.
In what dyrection, though?
More sophisticated two-axis political quizzes usually place me on the far Left and within a point of 0 in either direction on the Libertarian/Authoritarian axis. The test at Moral Politics, which measures political philosophy instead of issue positions, places me almost exactly on the border between Conservatism and Fascism.
He framed the whole thing to make it seem like fiscal conservative/social liberal is only logical choice....
Those who are unsure might want to take this test.
My results:
Your PERSONAL issues Score is 40%. (100% is the most liberal.)
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 60%. (100% is the most conservative.)
...Meaning I am much less of a social liberal than I thought. Also, much less of a fiscal conservative than I thought. But then, the test isn't entirely accurate; I know plenty of extremely liberal people who are against legalized prostitution.
According to the definitions provided I would be along the lines of a "social moderate/conservative." On "fiscal," "other," I do not determine my position by how much the state intervenes in the economy, but by whose interests are served and whether it is a help to mine. State intervention can be quite good when there's a lot of it in some situations, little in others; also depends where the state intervenes.
I fit into the fiscal conservative/social moderate categories, although your definition of social moderate is really idiotic. Wishy washy? How is supporting some causes from each side wishy washy?
Fiscal and social conservative.
Survival of the fittest -- No welfare, low taxes, low government intervention, full laissez-faire capitalism, state only responsible for defence, justice, and, law and order.
I prefer the more traditional family values lifestyle. A mum, a dad, few kids, a nice house with a backyard, etc. Dad works, while mum stays at home and looks after the kids.

Libertarian /= Anarchist
Is there a category that says, "as long as you leave me and mine alone, I don't care what you do" ??
Seriously...for those who want to, go live in your socialist utopia, your anarchist paradise, your 1950's-vintage traditionalist society, I'm fine with that and I wish you well...just leave a piece of territory for people like me who mostly just want to be left alone. I expect there's a lot of us, and I think we'd get on fairly well.
Lawbook for the Land O' Goshin:
1. Thou shalt not frak with anyone that does not want to be frakked with, unless he is already frakking with you first.
2. Thou shalt not frak with thy neighbor's house, yard, automobile, paycheck, wallet, cornfield, barns, spouse, child, or anything else that is thy neighbor's, unless thy neighbor is 'ok with that.'
3. Thou shalt not make any other rules.
Sometimes I think we should split the country up into Libertaria, SocialWefare'tannia, Traditionali'stan, Anarchia, and FrakOff'ia...oh yeah, and Texas....

My mistake; I did not clarify what I meant by in "my interests." I did not mean merely petty selfish aims for myself, but the interest of my conditions and class. E.g. it would be very good for me and others for free college, but it is the opposite interest of the bankers and college boards. In other words, by your definition, you like regulations that can allow you to prey upon the fruits of other people's labor but oppose those that do the reverse: If the intervention allows you to legally steal other people's property, it is "good." If it allows others to steal your property, then it is "bad."

I'll leave you to your libertarian moralizing and seeming pacifism.ronpaulvoter said:I believe in regulations against the violation of other people's natural rights. In other words, you don't do bodily harm to other people or mess with their property or their natural rights. Regulations to favor certain people or groups above others are IMMORAL and UNJUST.
