Yes yes, we all like watching a variety of TV, but most people tend to lean towards one kind of TV watching, like sports, or daytime soaps, or reality tv.

What is yours?

Fictional drama / crime. We are currently working our way through the entire old version of Matlock when we have time and the kids aren't dominating the TV. It holds up.

My question is, what do you consider TV today? It takes so many different forms.

Yes. The best thing on Swedish TV right now is a 6 part history of Sweden during WWII. I doubt if i will be shown outside the Nordic countries.
I find the rehashing of the 2nd WW really boring. That isn't a knock on whatever you are watching, but to rehash the 2nd WW over and over and over and over again, just gets tiresome (for me at least).

What delivery systems?
Is youtube watching television on your PC?
MAX on a phone watching television?
Well, if you want to go in THAT direction, maybe, just for you, I should have specified "genre."

WWII was the most important series of events in the 20th century. It shaped the world we now live in. Anyone interested in history cannot find it boring imo.

Yes yes yes, but I had a lot of it in history class when in school. I saw a lot of those documentaries, at least until they got silly and started talking about Hitler's sex life or Nazi hidden gold.
Plus my dad was in the military and was REALLY into those magazines about what tanks, planes, ships, guns were being used during the war. He had a stack of them.
My point was, that for me, I have read about the war, seen documentaries about the war, heard about the war from people who were there, so for me, there isn't anything MORE to learn unless someone has a new slant on the war.

Again, I am not mocking your choice, I am only stating that 60+ years after the war ended, we are still THIS fascinated with that war. Since then we have had the iron curtain and that also was an important event in the 20th century but it seldom gets talked about or there are very few documentaries about that.

OK. You make a good point. It is worth noting, however, that the Russian iron curtain was a direct and immediate consequence of one aspect of WWII - an example of what I mean by "shaping the world".

Eh…it depends on whose turn it is to pick whatever series the husband and I will binge.

We tend to watch tv at night and follow a series. My last pick was Outlander. His last pick was Scandal.

They can be all over the place. We usually try to find a series with more than 2 seasons and prefer the “hour” long shows vs. 30 minute ones.

I’m currently watching (and rewatching because I fall asleep or am scrolling and not paying attention) Severance at night now that he’s going to be away most of the summer 🤷‍♀️

Sports, international, war, spy and action flicks and documentaries.

I don’t watch much U.S. network news at all. I flat do not watch local TV news. I do watch the BBC and other international news channels but only infrequently. I used to enjoy the Canadian Broadcast News channel. It is or was very professional. We aren’t able to access it anymore.

Real crime...Dateline/20-20/On Patrol Live/anything on the ID channel...

I rarely watch TV. It's a dying industry (because of Capitalism). Occasionally I'll come across an interesting show (e.g. Canada's FROM), but it's become such a rarity that it's difficult to bother looking. I like ONE PIECE (Japanese / Foreign). But that's a hold over from another era. It's been ongoing for 20+ years.

Game of Thrones was great until they ran out of the original material and improvised the last ~4 seasons.

I think TV shows largely died in the 1990s. The streaming model has ruined it. Compare Star Trek from DS9 to the current stuff... the current stuff is rubbish. And it ain't because of Woke. Quite the opposite.

I'm currently a Man Without a Country because all my past faves have run their course and I'm looking for the next one.

Past faves include Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos, Orange is the New Black, Handmaid's Tale, Breaking Bad, Big Love, Oz, Yellowstone, Silicon Valley, Halt & Catch Fire, buncha others.
No multi choice otherwise I could include a lot of comedy stuff too.
I'm also heavily invested in motorhead shows, but I like the funny ones like the old BBC Top Gear and Roadkill.
I do watch some of the craft motorhead shows but I lean toward the funny stuff more.
